If your chickens are always getting frostbite then single combed breeds aren’t good for your climate. Here in Georgia I can’t really have any of those big fluffy rose combed breeds because they get too hot. Weather extremes are a bummer!

I think you’re right. My Australorp has significant frostbite again and I’ve been thinking the same thing. Thanks for the comment and getting right to the root of the problem.

OMG! My Pekin was also really struggling yesterday as well and I did not expect that. I thought they were super cold hardy!

Frostbite is not good. Time to get a coop heater. They love the warmth. It’s not nice to let them freeze.
