Dionne Waller Our skin is beautiful and I love that message because I know so many people have a hard time loving themselves and I’ve been there before too so hearing this was really heartwarming.
@dionnewaller77124 жыл бұрын
I know, I never quite understood that, because my logic was that everything other races wanted us to hate about ourselves for what we have naturally, but they also wanted what we have for themselves, they don't like our skin color then stop being a sun worshiper, don't like our lips stop getting injections and lip fillers, and the same go for the butts. In fact what I really want is for everyone to love the skin and bodies they're in and that's rather you're white black red green purple brown or blue just love the skin you're in and the body that you have. Everybody would be so much more happier if they stopped trying to be like something that you're not and trying to have something you weren't born with doesn't make any sense you keep injecting yourself with foreign objects and putting chemicals in your body trying to look like something you were never meant to look like and your causing yourself harm.

He is singing in English but he has an accent. I do know there are lyrics available to read along with the song. The one in the hat you were talking about is actually the elder woman, not man, who was on the couch teaching Nala (the little girl that was walking into the ball. She is Nala of the Lion King Movie, only this is all Beyonce's vision of a human Lion King based in Africa.) how to play the hand clap game. These songs are from Beyonce's curated album she did for the Lion King movie called The Lion King: The Gift, in which Beyonce pays tribute to African roots. The movie this video segment was pulled from, is an actual visual album of that soundtrack. The movie is called Black is King. The ball is a debutante's ball. An introduction of young ladies who are being introduced into society. This comes from high white southern society, when they would introduce their coming of age daughters to their high society and social circles, to maybe even making her a courting match for a young man. Black girls were not allow to be in them, for obvious reasons, so black elite societies started creating their own. Kelly and Beyonce have been like sisters because they grew up together since childhood. They were in starter groups way before Destiny's Child was a thing. They appeared on Star Search together (see the clip on Bow Down/Flawless video). Kelly has expressed insecurities about trying to make it solo in the industry, knowing that colorism was a key factor in her career, and being pitted against her sister, Beyonce. Beyonce is showing her support of Kelly. The first name drop Beyonce did, before Lupita, was Naomi Campbell, supermodel. There are two other black models who are popular for today's generations. They are the other two ladies with shaved heads. Well, what else could be missing to give this a full 5 point rating? I'm curious. Great reaction 😀

@@ChickenReaction ;) The Lost History of Black Cotillions Last summer Miya Carey slid into the satin-and-lace history of African-American cotillions When her academic advisor told Miya Carey C’11 that her daughter was taking part in a debutante program in Essex County, the 21-year-old history major from East Windsor, N.J., wanted to know more. Carey’s curiosity led to a $3,000 fellowship that enabled her to conduct research last summer on the cultural significance of African-American cotillions, or debutante balls, in the first half of the 20th century. The practice of formally presenting young women to polite society with an ornate ball is well documented among privileged white Americans, but Carey says historians have largely overlooked black cotillions. “There’s nothing specifically written about them,” she says. “This is something that’s not really talked about that much. It makes it even better to research.” www.drew.edu/news/2010/11/15/thelosthistoryofblackcotillions

This guy is a bounty for lack of a better word I hope that’s not an offensive word it just means to express someone who looks black on the outside but ain’t as proud as he making out on the inside he wore the shirt and hat for the video to get views that ain’t his natural character he had a major issue saying women of colour he precisely avoided that throughout its clear where his mind is it’s sad cause it’s its a reminder of how black men have more of a colonial mentality he said at the end its not for just women of colour but for every shade. Before I watched the video I knew something was up so I checked his other videos first and yep he ain’t the dashiki wearing brother he makes out to be. As a black man with a melanated daughter watching a song for melanated women don’t be so uptight to say it how it is the song was for melanated women period and it was made because of people like you who struggle with its recognition even with your best effort your true colours could be seen from a mile away and that colour ain’t melanated perhaps on the outside but the words from start to end stated clear where the loyalty lies. A beautiful angelic daughter needs more of a role model in terms of melanin figure cause this guy is clearly in denial Expecting this to be truly beautiful and mae you happy to see but is a sham he even thought he was wearing the dashiki the wrong way round lol omg who are you fooling anyway I clocked it from jump as I said something told me check his vids first see if he a real brother and lol farthest thing from lol We won’t ever elevate if we don’t get our mind right first and as parents especially of melanated children there’s a responsibility to not be so afraid to let your daughter know of her history and heritage as a melanated person yes I think it’s nice to acknowledge all shades and try to not offend the caucasians you’re clearly trying not to offend but the song is called brown skin girl you have a brown skin daughter and the recognition toward a woman of colour is very rare in the magnitude this one off song gave so it’s very saddening to see the fear and stuttering and avoidance to say its for the melanated the song is called “brown skin girl” not all shades girl heart breaking the way some brothers be acting truly heartbreaking to his own people and own daughter so blatantly in denial I clocked it from jump as I said something told me check out his page first to get an idea of what this guy is really about and lol lol this video and the daughter and outfit was for views and likes the first and last of its kind most likely for any woman of colour fooled by the picture thinking they coming across a proud enlightened melanated #dissapointed
