I made this but I used 3 TBS of maple syrup. No brown sugar. No cinnamon. I used 3 TBS of oat flour instead of rolled oats. Turned out yummy.

I know your comment is a year old, but I'm curious, did you use peanut butter or some other nut butter? If so, did it taste peanut buttery?

Just made this and I must say, it is quite tasty, even though I didn’t blend it as well as you did. First time making something sweet out of chickpeas, felt a bit weird but it works! Also very filling! Thanks for the video 👍

What could I use to replace the Maple Syrup? 🤔 it’s not really available where I’m from. Love your channel btw, just came from John’s video!

So glad to see you here! You could replace Maple Syrup with Honey. How does that sound to you?

Date syrup is also a good substitute

Hey! Your PDF version of this recipe calls for 1/2 cup of brown sugar instead of 1/4 cup. Would be great if you fixed the error!

If you wanted to, could you bake cookies using this chickpea cookie dough?
@cookingwithcoit3 жыл бұрын
I wish but unfortunately it won't work unless you make some substitutions to get the cookie dough to rise a little. Otherwise I think they would be super flat cookies.

I made it. Next time ill skip the PB. Ur wife was right on that part. And i used 1 teaspoon vanilla, and will skip the cinnamon too. Only put in a 1/4 tsp. Dont have a need for it. Thankfully u DID do brown sugar. I see where so many skip that. The brown sugar makes a chocolate chip cookie what it is. The pb kinda merfed it, jmo. But many will love that part. But ill skip it.

Thanks for your alteration tips. I am looking for a recipe similar to a chickpea cookie dough I love but can't find anymore. That one used almond butter, and I couldn't taste it. But I think peanut butter would be too much, you're right. Cinnamon too. Vanilla sounds like a good idea!

Can you bake this?
@cookingwithcoit3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not. It's more of an edible cookie dough vibe rather than a baking cookie dough. But its very delicious!
