I just heard about a great deal on Fein Grinders, 2 pack for $99! These are really good grinders they are corded not air or battery power. I'll leave the link if you want to take advantage of this sale. www.trick-tools.com/Fein-WSG-7-Angle-Grinder-2-pack-14579

Harbour Freight is really raising there quality level. I bought some of there icon 3/8 sockets and the swivel head ratchet. I also bought the earthquake 3/8 12v ratchet and so far I am very impressed. I think harbour freight is on its way to being a serious professional tool supplier.

Harbor freight is like most tool supply stores or tool companies. There are cheap options but also some better quality choices. I bought this grinder because it felt solid in my hands . It has performed flawlessly. I’ve also bought several other chief air tools. All are serving me well .

Have had mine for about 8 months now I do a lot of fab work on semi trailers and truck and it gets used almost every day even the other guys in the shop have been using it they also like it but I will say if you hook a p style coupler with a 1/2 hose it wakes that grinder up makes a huge difference.

If a piece of that disc flies off a thin layer of plastic safety goggles isn't going to save you!
@KoonTrucking4 жыл бұрын
Nope you are correct but if that spark bounces and goes in your eye it will. Same saying “why wear a seat belt I may flip in a creek with water” well you have to weigh you options and obviously debris and sparks are much more likely to happen vs the disc breaking
@thepain321 Жыл бұрын
Your post is a couple years old but if anyone sees I just want to say. Took a direct hit to the eye of plastic safety goggles. Hard enough it knocked them off my face. Captured a metal chunk about the size of a BB. The impact resistant plastic doesn’t shatter. It stretched, so when I put the glass back on the BB was still in the plastic which had stretch enough to touch my eyelashes. No doubt, that piece of metal would have came through my eyelid. Typically I don’t grind with gloves or sleeves. Getting hit like that anywhere has never happened before or since. Broke numerous discs, they haven’t seemed dangerous. Your worst unforeseen hazard is a basic wire wheel. I’ll put a shirt on for that.

Will a 10 gallon air compressor work with this grinder
@tylerbraaksma2715 ай бұрын
with a 10 gallon air compressor it would run for an hour 30 minutes then you would let it cool down. however you can run it intermittently. but my recomendation would be to get a bigger air commpressor.

@@KoonTrucking thanks! I saw on your video this after noon a pb blaster air spray lubricating air tool. Same thing?
@vanapplebomb4 жыл бұрын
@@donotrobme9295 , I use air tool oil and the blaster air tool conditioner, but for different purposes. I only use the blaster air tool conditioner for cleaning on the rare occasion. I also use it on new air tools out of the box. Most come from the factory with a lot of crap in them. Once cleaned, I switch out to normal air tool oil. In my opinion, the solvent nature of the blaster air tool conditioner isn’t good for continuous use. Once in a blue moon. If you have clean air, good old air tool oil is better for daily use. Air tool oil is usually a non detergent 10 weight oil that has corrosion inhibitors in it. Most hardware stores that sell air tools will have the oil.

For $99 you could get a Metabo corded 4 1/2. The last grinder you’ll ever buy.

I'll agree with this one my dad has had his metabo for atleast 10+ years and still works to this day
@colelyles69644 жыл бұрын
Sorry gotta disagree. Metal fab for semi truck and trailer repair. Brand new metabo last less then a year
@markgriffin55374 жыл бұрын
@@colelyles6964 how many other brands have you used? Put a dewalt in the same environment and it’ll die in a few weeks tops. Only issue I’ve ever had with a Metabo is the switch, and the welding truck swaps them out free of charge or if it meets its death to a I beam falling on it. Metabo is who invented the grinder. You work around old timers in metal fab and they’ll tell you to go get the metabo. That’s what they call all grinders.
