The Air Force will appoint its 18th Chief Master Sergeant of The Air Force during a ceremony on 17 February, 2017 on Joint Base Andrews. In his last official act before retiring, Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force James Cody relinquished the duties and responsibilities of the Air Force's highest enlisted leader to Chief Master Sgt. Kaleth O. Wright

To retire with honor is the only thing that matters. Not the rank, not the time in service, not the position. Nothing else. To retire with honor places each honorably discharged Airman as equals.
