I readily admit that as a very hormonal male teenager in the early 1980s, I got highly turned on at the sight of all those gorgeous actresses in bikinis (and other assorted scanty attire) on The Love Boat. But that was NOT my motive for watching the show. You see, in the 1970s onwards, I was being raised in an abusive, dysfunctional home. As a result, I turned towards watching LOTS of TV as a way to provide myself with escape and comfort from my misery. The Love Boat was among the many tv shows I watched and enjoyed. It really helped me to preserve what few shreds of sanity I had as well as provided me with much needed happiness, laughter, and joy in an otherwise joyless existence. I remember watching the Love Boat, and Fantasy Island following it, on a regular basis every Saturday night back in the early-mid 1980s when they were still originally on the air. There was something so emotionally and mentally COMFORTING and SOOTHING about the Love Boat's opening theme as well as each and every episode. Entertaining too. Its mixture of escapist fantasy and comedy was just exactly the right kind of formula I needed and was JUST PERFECT for a saturday night after a whole week's worth of negativity and stressful nonsense. But the fact that i watched and loved the love boat was my MOST closely guarded and BIGGEST well kept secret at the time. Because a teenaged boy simply did NOT admit to his fellow teens about watching The Love Boat as well as being a fan of that show. Not unless he wanted to be the target of ridicule. There were many tv shows around that time a male teen could openly admit to being a fan of. But The Love Boat wasnt one of them

@zanti41323 жыл бұрын
OK, after reading that some scenes were filmed during actual Princess cruises, I think I see how these scenes were organized. The scene at 0:06 looks like it was done on a cruise ship. In the foreground you see the hotties with great bodies that are undoubtedly hired extras. In the background you see older people (probably in their 60s) who are really on the cruise. No doubt all of them were told not to make any distracting motions and not to look at the camera.
