Strategy: if ally has clear smog or haze wait for them to use it, otherwise open with haze. any time HP is low and your attack is below +6, wait for ally to heal you. charge tera orb with snarl. after your stats get reset, 1-2 swords dance. wait for torterra to attempt to use shell smash. if ally did not taunt torterra, use haze. optional 1-3 snarl. swords dance until you get to +6 attack. avalanche to victory
Pros: supereffective tera type matching base type, great HP, defense, and attack stats, outspeeds torterra. snarl debuffs special attack 1 stage through shield while charging tera orb. swords dance buffs attack 2 stages. haze wipes all of torterra's buffs. avalanche has 120 base power, 100 accuracy, deals supereffective STAB (tera-boosted when terastalized) damage. shell bell heals when attacking, an amount equal to 1/8th of damage dealt. swords of ruin lowers torterra's defense 25%.
Cons: poor special defense stat. swords of ruin lowers ally's defense 25%.

I just had a thought, does covert cloak block smack down's effect? edit: looking at the bulbapedia page for additional effects(which are what covert cloak blocks), smack down isn't listed, I will test this later

@@DaniSoloRaids turns out it doesn't work, lucky torterra is silly or my haunter would be suffering right now for lack of eviolite funny side note: when looking for a torterra raid to test this with two black crystal ground raids spawned, and a torkoal was in the first one I looked in.

i tried it solo and even with a specially defensive EV spread and nature it takes too much damage from earth power. it base special attack stat is too low to try to run it as a giga drain build. so i just went with a physical duos attacker build. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4aZg4mAh9hleZY
