Chiffon Cake
✔️Batter
4 egg yolks [large size]
1/4 cup sugar [50 grams]
1/4 cup water (or milk if preferred) [60 ml]
1/4 cup oil (any cooking oil) [60 ml]
1/2 tsp vanilla extract [2.5 ml]
1 cup cake flour [120 grams]
1 tsp baking powder [4 grams]
1/4 tsp salt [1.5 grams]
✔️Meringue
4egg whites [large size]
1/4 tsp cream of tartar [1 gram]
1/4 cup sugar [50 grams]
•Cake Pan size used: 8x3 inch
(Greasing the cake pan is not required.)
* Bake in a preheated oven @ 170 C for 30-35 mins. or until light browned top.
* It can be cooked in a steamer over medium heat for 25-30mins. or check doneness with toothpick. (Cover the cake pan with foil when steaming.)
❗️Baking time may vary on the type & function of the oven. I used conventional gas oven with bottom heat function only.
