I loved this moment, not only was it perfectly executed, but also Chigiri's monologue spoke volumes to me. You don't have to let the chains of your past hold you down. Not in magical soccer anime, and not in real life. Traumatic things happen, but trauma doesn't have to be the reason that you stop moving forward or the reason why you stop doing what you love. This will be a moment that I will carry in my heart until I die, and it will be something that I lean on when I start to waver or doubt myself.

As much as I love Chigiri's weapon and how he literally destroyed the other team, I think my favorite part is right before all that, with Isagi finally smelling the goal, us the audience knowing why, and Isagi being the only one to spot the black sheep of the team. He smelled it, *felt* it, before he saw it but immediately knew who it was. Him making eye contact with those eyes saying "I see you" RIGHT AT CHIGIRI is such a chilling moment, especially when you're aware of his spatial awareness and the fact that it's chigiri who helped him realize what his weapon was. The crazed and focused eyes of both of them are so good. Chigiri knew that Isagi would be the first to see him due to that weapon and trusted him to pass the ball.

Best thing is it was Isagi who who inspired Chigiri to play and dream, finally enabling Chigiri to use his speed again. Then as you said, it was Chigiri who first brought the idea to Isagi that his weapon was spatial awareness. Then it was only Isagi who could smell the goal and let Chigiri have his moment to shine. They bring out the best in each other.

This resonated with me so much because I was a sprinter in Track when I was in high school and was the fastest in the school at one point. It felt like I was flying whenever I gave it my all, ever since I was a kid. I didn't even have to tryout my freshman year because I was personally put on the Track team by a recommendation from my PE teacher. I ended up as one of two sophomores to be on Varsity, but I kept getting my hip flexor injured every year to where I ended up having to quit as a senior. The feeling of sprinting and knowing you're faster than everybody else is seriously like a drug, man do I miss that feeling.

I love this character. I can relate so much to him, not physically but psychologically. When you think about it, this is really what holds back 99% of people. We went through trauma and got beaten down so much over the course of our life that we are scared to shine again. But this is like walking outside with an umbrella when the sun is shining. When I played soccer in highschool, I played midfield and this was actually my role- I was about the second-fastest person in my entire league, so I built my stamina too and became the constant annoyance that could be anywhere on the field in “now” seconds to take a pass, run down a pesky forward, or make sure the goalie had to really catch the ball and not just bounce it away (semi-finals saw me headbutt the opposing goalie’s serve right back at him from 20 feet away 🤣 didn’t expect it to come right at me but whatever).

I relate to his struggle as well as his recovery by a ton. I had a partial patellar dislocation last year and I was rendered unable to continue playing volleyball for a while. After returning I felt sluggish and very rusty, playing way worse than initially. While I wasn’t mocked, I felt scared of injuring the knee again thus I took it too easy. After realizing my terrible performance, I decided to throw all the worry away for just one moment and it went amazing. After that one single moment I determined I could use my leg normally again. His backstory stood out to me a lot though I was never the top player 😅

This was such a great moment. I know it's still technically a competition and in the end only one will win all, but these bonds and dreams that are forming or being revitalized is amazing. And then Kuon...what are they going to do with him? He literally tried the same tactics by going to the next team they were up against, but this time is failed and everyone was watching and listening in. If they trade players or have another elimination round on their team(which is something I'm suspecting will happen in the future...I could be wrong) the first person they're going after is probably Kuon, or he'll be the last person, because he'll be considered weak.
