With the current condition of Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra, it is hard to convince me for getting a Ticwatch Pro 5. My own complain is the GPS is not accurate to run in a city with many tall buildings. Slow to pick up heart rate changes in a run. I hope it gets improved in the newer TWP 5. WearOS 4 is around the corner. If they can update TWP5 to WearOS 4 not too long after Google release it, Mobvoi might be able to gain back their reputation.

Now is it time for me to upgrade from my Samsung Galaxy watch 4 classic 42mm? I'm thinking it may be. To be able to go 4 -6 days between charges would be amazing (versus daily now). My only concern is if this watch will look too big/bulky on my female arm? I think my wrist is actually about 7 inches, same as yours, so I would hope it doesn't look too big. When you use the ULP screen/backlight settings, does the watch open the AMOLED and show notifications if you tilt your wrist when receiving the notifcation? Or do you still have to tap the screen and/or use crown to see the notification?

I get 4 days with my TWP3 GPS. An extra 2 days with TWP5 is awesome. The only problem I have with my TWP3 GPS is that the sensor lights keep flashing overnight whilst sitting on my night stand. This adds to battery drain. Therefore its great to hear that the watch goes into essential mode when not being worn.

Does this thing have a sapphire crystal display? That makes it worth it or not. It's the difference between getting scratches and looking flawless 10 years later ( I still have an original Huawei Watch. Screen looks brand new. Body and Milanese band have very slight surface scratches. A decade of daily use...)

looks promising! maybe finally overall improvement for galaxy watch active 2 that has better battery lasting than any other galaxy watches, small clockface, voice recorder with one button, bt-calls, notifications and even reply to whatsapp messages. Can this one reply to whatsapp messages? Galaxy watch wifi even connects to internet in the cafe if you used the wifi with your phone before and now left your phone at home. And does this have internal memory to put your mp3's in it and listen with bt earbuds while you are working out?

Yes you can reply to WhatsApp messages. yes you have 32GB internal storage, you can copy your mp3s and listen with BT earbuds.

I'm going to get the TWP 5 too! Very excited. :D My advice is to wait for the end of financial year sales (depending on your country) or the Black Friday sales. Never pay full price. :) Also, keep an eye on the Mobvoi website as they drop some sale events every now again. I've seen the original TWP 3 drop down to 50% off. I would be happy to buy the watch if discounted by at least 25% off. In Australia the TWP 5 is priced at $520 ... original TWP 3 priced at $399. So I would be happy to purchase TWP 5 if it comes down under $400 Aussie dollars. :D

That requires being on essential mode most of the time, otherwise you are getting a day and a half at the most. So, as usual, you get a long battery life if you don't use the functions you bought the watch for in the first place. Not an honest review. If you want to use the fancy features, you're recharging every day like the Apple Watch.

what's the vibration motor/haptic feedback like? I loved the Pro 3 Ultra in all ways except for the really bad vibration motor - really high-pitched noisy vibration that you couldn't really feel but could clearly hear! Not very discrete! I'm hoping it was due to mostly plastic body whereas the Pro 5 should have vibration simmilar to GW4 Classic of Huawei Watch 3 where vibration is pretty strong but still quiet/discrete?

Wow, all their watch faces are so cartoony. Aren't there some clean decent analog looking faces with extra info? Do the Tic Health, Exercise, etc apps sync to Google Fit? I have them. 24h health monitoring + 12/24h Bluetooth to mobile connect + GPS off : 2.5-3 days of battery work max. Also: they searching GPS very very bad. Very long awaiting. Samsung searching for seconds, ticwatch 5 pro - 3-5 minutes. It's very bad when you want to go for a walk or gym, you should stay and wait.. Also dynamic sould is quiet. GW4 for example sounds much louder. Anything else - great, especially CPU and fast work of whole system interface.

I like it too much when there is competition like that, it will force Samsung and Google to pay attention to the quality but especially to the pricing of their products 😈 But, on the other hand, this TicWatch Pro 5, despite all its qualities, has flaws that make it clearly never my choice, and not that of many other people. Its design is almost soulless, blend, it's me, or construction feel, seems and appears really cheap 🤔, no wireless charging (proprietary charger), only one color (that's really personal, I don't like black watches, so black smartwatches and I don't think I'm alone in this case), but especially TicWatch recent past in terms of software tracking, it's not very famous, and will be a dealbraker for many people. Ps: on the other hand in view of the performance of this TicWatch, the Pixel Watch 2 which is supposed to come out with the same processor looks promising

Dude!!! Seriously!! You should do some research before commenting. Mobvoi made no promises. It's Google that are holding back the updates, not Mobvoi. Wear OS3 was limited to Samsung and Pixel Watch ONLY. No other watch will ever get Wear OS3. Only TWP5 is now getting it. Google are limiting their software and updates to specific hardware now. Not just watches but smart displays too. I'm sick and tired of people endlessly blaming Mobvoi when it is totally out of their control.

@@KuranIsAFantasyBook Many TWP3/Ultra owners have said, they dont even use or have the need for Assistant. But as Chigz said in another post, Assistant will be coming with a FW update. Which is terrific news for those that use it! :) Also keep in mind that Google Assistant, Siri and Alexa are virtually becoming obsolete now. They are old technology. ChatGPT or rather OpenAI chat clients are the new way to ask for info. Although they dont support "voice" input at present, which is why Assistant etc still have a place and purpose. :) I love my TWP3 GPS. The only issues I've had with it are when Google push through their updates, without letting me know, and impacting its performance. Thankfully Google put back the double click, Google Pay function. I was so annoyed when they removed it, for no reason. TWP 3 has always been at the mercy of Google and WearOS updates, not so much due to what Mobvoi do or don't do.
