Any tips for getting action cameras to shoot good video in low light? I have a black background all around my walls. I use 2 Neewer 176 LED lights on the subject with no living room lights on and the Neewers at around 10-20% brightness I've been told action cams don't do well in low light and the cheapest option is to get more light in the video. I just got a GoPro hero 5 black because one of my old Sj4000 cams gave out on me, but the video quality actually sucks in my lighting situation compared to the Sj4000 - it's really grainy and doesn't look good at all. GoPro 5 black is 2.8 Aperture I think I'm also gonna try out the Yi Lite & Yi4k - Idk what they're aperture is but I think it's the same. It would be cheaper to just return it and get 2 more Neewer lights and put them on all 4 corners instead of 1 in front and 1 in back. Thoughts?

Does this have any type of fish-eye lens correction like the GoPro 5 & 6 (linear mode) and Yi4k (Lens distortion correction)????

Is there any way to turn off the front lcd? Or the Front LCD is always on as long camera is powered on ? Image quality looks true to the weather condition... Nicely Done.

No front LCD cannot be switch off and you can get 100mins out of it.

Good review Chigz. Now we really need a comparison and review video of the SJCam SJ8 Pro and the GoPro Here6, and any other action cam capable of native 4k @ 60 frames. EIS while in 4k @ 60 seems like the most premium ability offered by action cameras at the moment.

As you say, a good camera, but compared to the Akaso you don't seem to get the same value as you do from the Akaso... Also, the audio on the SJCam to me, anyway, didn't seem as good.

Yes Akaso provides truly great ability for minimal cost. However, Akaso can only record 4k @ 30 fps. 60 frames per second yields smoother video especially during fast action. 4k @ 60 fps still remains a premium ability not available in the price range of the Akasos. EIS significantly reduces the shakiness of video, something every action camera needs. Because the SJ8 Pro does not do ESI while in 4k @ 60 fps a gimbal must be used to reduce the video's shakiness. A gimbal is more cumbersome making the SJ8 Pro much less versatile; more difficult to mount and use. The SJCam SJ8 Pro captures excellent 4k video @ 60 fps limited by the cumbersome nature of a gimbal . Another premium ability the SJ8 Pro lacks is a water proof housing. The SJ8 requires a case to be water proof (not a big deal), however, the GoPro Hero6 does not.
