I raised my own chickens, some for eggs and some as meat birds. No antibiotics anywhere. They were free to roam our 7 acre plot including our garden where they never ate the veggies, just the bugs and when we slaughtered them the flavor was the best I've had since the 1960s. Yep, FDA can’t be trusted they inspect their facilities 1-2 times a year. However all meat, poultry and eggs are inspected by the USDA. All USDA inspectors are requjred to be on site daily, for some its weekly. They are on site and keeping ur meat and poultry safe to eat.

The problem is that Tyson owns so many companies. Hillshire Farms, Sara Lee, Jimmy Dean, BallPark, IBP, Van's, State Fair, Bryan, Xhef Pierre, Rudy's Farm, Corn King, Bisco's, Wright, Wilson Deli and more!! If you support any of these, you are supporting Tyson.

The one time someone treated me to chick-fil-a I was not impressed. I can cook my own healthily fast food. No money to waste on buying or eating junk food. Tyson still going strong. I have family members who run 6 chicken houses for Tyson (owners but sell specifically to Tyson via contract). We haven’t eaten Tyson ourselves for years. Even the growers will tell you it’s not healthy.

Chic fil a hasn’t been the same since Truitt Cathy passed away. I even live Georgia and got to meet Mr. Cathy and hear him speak. His children sold his farm that was a children’s home. Stopped a lot of things like that that their dad had done. I am just waiting for them to be open on Sunday’s The bird flu now they are saying it’s in cows milk 😢 and they have been telling us cows are bad we eat to much beef. I ordered my usual grilled chicken sandwich at Chicfilet recently. I've eaten the sandwich many times before but this time the chicken tasted much different. It wasn't tasty like it as before, and in fact it didn't even taste like chicken. My husband thought the same thing. And now that they serve Tyson chicken we definitely won't be going back.

Veterinarian prescribed antibiotics for livestock and poultry have a withdrawal time period. Treated animals cannot be processed for food until after the withdrawal time period.

As a chicken owner (I have three) when one of my free range girls got sick, I resorted to antibiotics for their health and quality of life. I isolated her for a month. I am against just giving antibiotics as preventatives though and against hormones at all. I gave my kids medication when they needed it... it's no different for my pets or my chickens. And I'd rather the antibiotics than to eat a slaughtered ill chicken.

Chick Filet has just opened up an eatery in Honolulu near where I live. Now that this has happened. Something has happened in the owners attitude towards their own policies. I have never ate there now I will never eat there. I don’t want to be poisoned by what they are allowing to go into their chicken meats. Aloha!!!!
