my boyfriend purchased a set of these for my birthday this year (a major upgrade from my ELF & colourpop brushes LOL) but I was hesitant since the internet says these can only be washed 3-4 times a YEAR!!!! Silver Fox is officially my favorite type of hair for face brushes. I'm debating between getting the face one I don't have (FO-4) even though I'm not a fan of angled brushes... or getting a backup of my favorite FO-3 even though I'm trying to avoid buying backups. lol. I know I don't need anymore blush brushes... but... silver fox. lol.

I feel this comment so much! I think it’s now my favorite bristle type now too. I think you should get the FO-4 if you want a smaller face brush because the angle is negligible. I don’t like angled brushes either but I like the smaller size for blush and contour.

Great detailed video on these brushes. Interesting how the different hairs give a different finish. Something I did not know. Really makes me want them. Have you ever experienced any allergic reactions from using the chikuhodo FO or KZ series?? I have the z series and have many grey and blue squirrel brushes and have never had issues. I have purchased a few brushes from the Kazan series and I have experienced a faint itchy tickling feeling in the back of my throat after using them :/. Just curious. I want the fox brushes but now I’m hesitant.

I’m allergic to cats. Well, this is definitely pausing my purchasing of anymore of the Kazan brushes for now and the fox brushes. I’ll keep using the KZ-3 and 4 and see if it continues. Kinda bummed but my wallet is happy. Oddly, being allergic to natural hair brushes never occurred to me.

According to the internet, most of these natural hair brands use excess fur left over from the fur industry. That is why these products are so Luxe, you are pretty much buying the makeup brush equivalent of a handmade fur coat
