To be fair he was in a panicked state and he didn't realize it was a badge UNTIL it was brought to his attention. You'd be surprised how easy it is to miss obvious things when you're scared. Why do you think people are idiots in horror movies... although to be fair some are more stupid than they should be.

@@alexanderelderhorst2107 to add to this comment this man isnt trained to use a gun, shaky hands, spratik eye movement, and finger on the trigger. its likely the loud noises spooked him and when he open the door with the shotgun all he saw was her weapon. Bet she is going to wake up in a cold sweat for a while on that one, she almost got blown apart.

In accordance to the Illinois Legal Law in reality, the woman should have been arrested for minor aggravated assault of a police officer. She would be fined up to $25,000 and serve a mandatory sentence of four years.

@@joewhitehead3 Actually, it kinda depends on the severity of the assault. What I mentioned before is like maximum penalty, but if I had to guess the woman's punishment, I'd say about six months and community service.

Antonio nor Hank would dream of charging the wife. They would have both done the same thing the husband was doing. Problem is when Media covers stuff and when cases are known to the public. It can get real messy especially because Intelligence was assigned to the case. So Hank knew THIS TIME everything had to be done by the book

The guy that the dad, and his buddy, were beating on was innocent. He didn't kill the kid someone that they all trusted did.

It’s extremely dangerous to take the law into your own hands. Yes, the police aren’t perfect (trust me I’m not a big fan of the police myself) but it’s a lot safer to call professionals than a random man. Yes, parental instincts but safety must be taken for both victim and victim’s families

Because the cops were not respsonible for it. and her dumbass needs to be held accountable to the full extent of the law for taking her anger out on other adults. She just slapped public officers who would've tried to get justice for her son and they known what had happened at the time of incident.

No. It was the mechanic. A revenge killing. The dad + two of his buddies accidentally killed the mechanic's kid/hid the gun when they were younger. One of the buddies was dying and confessed out of guilt. Then the mechanic started to kidnap their kids.

You have to wonder how many crimes were never solved and will never be solved because the cops didn't use "a little extra force" and get the actor to talk and tell the truth. just saying. Great show!

The fact that some people think there's anything admirable about the ways the cops behave on this show is frightening. I watch Chicago PD to see cops act like mobsters. I do not for a second want IRL cops to act like mobsters

3 lawsuit against Antonio, one for each hit. I hate this show for that reason. It's unrealistic on how the cops act and can treat people. I don't care it's a show and made up. Don't make stuff up like this cause cases have been lose cause of cops doing this.

Yes, that would have given them an excuse to subdue, torture and kill the suspect and then claim self-defence without any fear of contradiction. That is how Voight and his team roll.
