Reminds me of a case I heard years ago about a father finding out his neighbor had been... violating his daughter for years (at the time of finding out she was maybe roughly ten) without him being aware. When he did find out, he beat him bloody and ended up killing him. He actually didn't even get a lot of time in prison - in my opinion, he shouldn't have had any prison time. Any PROPER parent would be filled with rage at knowing someone they thought they trusted had been doing that to their child. I know I wouldn't be able to restrain myself if I knew someone did something to my baby boy. In this case, unfortunately, the mother was horrible at protecting her daughter. Lets disregard everything she did about having a bad feeling and letting him go in the dressing room with her TWICE. They had been gone.. for 40 minutes... and THEN she called the police???? Neglience at its finest. I feel so sorry for that poor girl.

@ramdjow2882Ай бұрын
It depends on factors like how many times someone offends, the severity of the offense, their age and the age of the victim, and their criminal history. A lot of things play into it. There are people with autism who might touch a kid or expose themselves without fully understanding boundaries, or those who commit a lesser offense, show remorse, and don’t repeat their behavior. Then, you have the creepy old men who stalk and lure children at the first chance they get. All of these people get labeled as predators, which makes sense, but guys like this guy are on a whole different level, or someone like John Wayne Gacy who went through great lengths to rape, torture, and kill his victims. Also, released offenders have to follow strict guidelines with routine checkups from law enforcement and parameters on where they’re allowed to go, who they’re allowed to talk to, their Internet is monitored, they can’t hand out candy on Halloween (law enforcement will checkup to make sure their lights are turned off on Halloween), etc. They also will be labeled as a predator and registered sex offender so getting a job and being able to make friends, be in a relationship, etc. is going to be very difficult for them and all the shame that comes with that, is a punishment in and of itself

The man basically used socially engineering on the mother. Social engineering is basically used online by predators against teenagers in the form of sextortion. He stood around the entrance of the shop scoping out the customers. When this mother with children walked in, he dialed in. When she asked for the price of a piece of clothing at the counter with the cashier, he then asked the cashier if she bought it to which they said no. Recognising that this was potentially a vulnerable woman, he pounced like a lion, a predator. We don't know how many times he has been doing this at shops. In the wild, lions have a pretty low success rate with their hunting. But they keep trying until it works. Do you know who lions catch? The vulnerable. The ones with the limping legs, weak, young, old and frail, etc. Him being a predator was masked and disguised by him acting like a good Samaritan. He said he was also waiting for his wife to add to some respectability.

This woman did not sell her child. How do we know she wasn't desperate for money for a long time, struggling in our economy, and then a man, claiming to be of God or the church, charmed her? Do you know how many times the church, and other religious groups tell you to "be on the lookout for angels in disguise" swearing by the sun and moon that there's even remotely a good "God" with your fairness, desires, prayers and needs at heart? The belief in God is what often leads to these incidents, and this is common. Many people blindly trust in the charity of strangers. She may have believed, like the church tells you, in "the kindness of God and strangers in this big brotherhood of man". Regardless of your opinion, she did not molest her daughter, strangle her, and bite her then dump her in a field. So to even remotely suggest she is even partially responsible for what that man did, just because of her decisions which allowed him to deceitfully gain unwitting access to commit evil, is beyond sick. We can learn from this, but not by blameshifting something so heinous onto an innocent mother. The mother did not do this to her daughter, and that is the end of the story, regardless of how reckless you believe her actions - as an outsider peering in.

I guess it sounds antiquated now, but when I was a little'un in the '50's, my mum used to use reins (there weren't shopping trolleys then) and it was much harder to take a pusher on the bus (to get to the shops). It was instilled in us not to run off and mum also used to involve us in the shopping. Also, we were tucked up in bed, not out shopping at 9pm.

New charges. Now when you hurt someone in prison the prison administration calls in the State Police to conduct an investigation and charge you with perpetrating a crime. So, on top of the time you're already serving they're going to add more time if and when they find you guilty or you cop-out. No one. NO ONE ... wants to be in prison any longer than they have to be. And what if you kill that lame? Say you're in prison doing 5yrs. for selling some coke. All of a sudden you're now facing a life sentence. So, are YOU going to look out for the dude who catches another charge over hurting that piece of shit? No. You're not. Had the Department not implemented New Charges for prisoners while in prison .... well, that's a different story. A lot of shanks would be bloody as fuck and there would be no rapists or child molesters in prison.
