Fun fact Alex Vincent (Andy's actor) got the role because he pretended he kept forgetting the line "aunt Maggie was a real bitch and got what she deserved" because he didn't want to say it. i hope you guys watch the sequels all throughout Halloween month. they get wackier and dumber with each movie, but still creepy and funny. also, sometimes, for the super long wide shots, they DID have a little person in a suit. for stunts too. but everything else with slow walking or close up mouth movements is ALL practical. no CGI at all until the later sequels, and even then it's not noticeable.
@NiceDudeMovieNight2 жыл бұрын
It's a great mixture of effects, for sure!
@majorleaguezombie7962 жыл бұрын
@@NiceDudeMovieNight the effects, which is a combo of animatronics and the little person in a suit, actually stay the same pretty much for over 20-30 years of this franchise, and it's only in the second to last movie in the franchise that they use CG. and it was for ONE scene. the creators try their best to make this series that went from creepy to creepy/funny to back to being creepy again completely practical. it takes half a dozen people just to operate Chucky's animatronic body, facial movements and all.

I would love to see you all react to the whole franchise. Child's Play 2 is considered the best because of the amount of time chucky is actually being a wisecracking psycho that we all know. If you want my honest opinion the whole franchise though it has it's hits and misses, has a solid lore, follows a wild story line, and leaves no boxes empty as far as the ideas they explore. Chucky is by far my favorite horror movie franchise and it also is in part to Brad Douriff being such an amazing voice that brings Chucky to life with a personality even Mark Hamill (the best Joker voice) couldn't even compete. If you all do get a chance to check out the whole series please use caution with seed of chucky. It's not a bad movie for a chucky movie, but it's not what you'll expect.

I have always stuck with this franchise through the highs and lows. It's just, they act like a real tight nit family. Actors come back for the movies, and the series. They do practical effects as much as possible. I mean, Chucky's voice actor Brad Dourifs daughter is now in the series, she starts in Curse of Chucky. But pretty much every one that starts to work on the movies, stays with them. Don Macini has created such an amazing work environment, people stay.
