yes, a bigger hook would increase the size a little bit, but if you need a larger size then you need to go up in size in the pattern. i would use the toddler size

Hello, in the video it will have instructions to make the small version, on the written pattern it has the number of chains that you have to start with. The written pattern has options for worsted weight/aran weight/10 ply or number 3 weight/DK/8ply. Hope this helps

you can use that size. you may have to go up a size or make sure to check the sizing as you go. also using the smaller hook will cause your fabric to be more stiff and may cause your gauge to be off
