Love the colors of this repaint and the painted eye looks so much better than the original light piping eye. MS only released a couple of bots using abs plastic, glad they went back to nylon. Pre-ordered at Magic Square Toys.

That at the end with you shooting at Cliffjumper was honestly adorable. I love the colours on this little guy. The transformation definitely seems more "chunky" than what MS does nowadays, which isn't a slight against their newer figures. And I also thought it looked quite... striking, I suppose, compared to the cuter, softer look of their more recent figures. Again, not a slight against the new stuff as that's partly what got me interested in their figures in the first place, but yeah. This little guy looks like great fun. Though I definitely appreciate that they pack in both clear and opaque versions of the hands. I can't help but feel nervous with small clear plastic pieces, as I'm starting to have things crumble on some of my WFC figures now XD Right now I'm waiting on their Prime 2.0, Hound, and Jazz and I'm so excited to transform them all! Thank you for helping to sell me on these toys.

Yeah... kinda stupid with that piu piu piu thing, but that's genuinely how I felt when I transformed him into the gun mode. I just couldn't forget about that moment I saw G1 Shockwave for the first time. SHOCKING to say the least, and it had that 80's typical toy gun sound. ABS figure from MS is a different experience, simpler transformation, but still has that accurate representation, pretty awesome figure. And hope you enjoy all those new bots!

@@OptimusLegends Ah the plu plu plu thing wasn't stupid at all! Toys are meant to be played with, after all! And yeah, G1 Shockwave's gun mode is pretty cool, but i find it hilarious that it just. Flies. Compared to Megatron needing to be held. It felt pretty funny wielding Shockwave in Devastation, I'll say. And I hope so too! If things go by quickly, Hound might get here by the end of the week but I'm not holding my breath. Meanwhile I've had Ken for two weeks now and I've transformed him at least 10 times per day every day since I got him. If the others will even be half as fun as he is, I'm super excited.

Yeah, that's the idea of magic square, fidget toys. This shockwave is a lot simpler to transform compared to other recent releases, you might even have more fun since it's so different, it's a gun, we automatically pick it up, point and shoot!

@@OptimusLegends Makes sense! Part of why I enjoy Ken so much is because it's so different to what I usually collect, that being main line stuff. And the transformation feels more cohesive than a lot of main line stuff in a way as well. And hahah, I agree 100%. I definitely need to get myself a G1 Megs at some point as well as this. Just too bad there's no G1 character that turns into a sword as far as I know XD

Thanks! H35 looks also very great! MS used ABS for the original Shockwave so I guess it's not necessary to switch to nylon. I still have unfinished projects.. stacked up, and more samples are coming, MS is almost releasing new product weekly now, insane..

Love the review, perfect as usual! I just pulled the trigger on B32. Without paying much attention I thought this color was coming but in chatting with some people they got me thinking I was wrong and thinking of new age so I ordered B32. I love the way it looks but Shockwave is one that I prefer the darker toy color. Shoulda waited :( maybe I will paint mine. Anyway, thanks again for a great review!

I didn't know Magic Square only recently switch the nylon for their figures. Also, did you see the news from Magic Square? Just a few days after we talked about wanting an MP scale Light of Victory, Magic Square showed off a prototype.

They had a few ABS figures, less than 5 I guess, didn't work out as they expected, so they went back to nylon. Yeah.. the inevitable is coming..

Awesome review! I'm still struggling between the original release and this recolor. I am definitely draw to the original's color scheme since toon accuracy is my preference, but the lack of paint does make that version look a bit lifeless compared to this recolor. Would love to hear some more thoughts on the matter. Can't wait to see more reviews of MS releases!

Transformers are just getting more and more expensive, I don't even look at the price tags of the MPs anymore, they are not making sense... MS and NA are saving this fandom for being very active, offering outstanding products. Hasbro should thank them.

@@OptimusLegends hasbro should partner with NA, upscales of those figures would be greatly appreciated. And if takara partnered with MS, they could bring us MP scale MS figures made of better materials. It could save the entire MP line.
