@@genericusername2426 No need for you to take it personal.
@Modie2 жыл бұрын
@@genericusername2426 And why did you perceive it as rude? I was just making a joke. You know, my version of r/whoosh. That's why you shouldn't take everything as a personal attack. Not to mention that you wanted to spoil the show for the person who you thought doesn't know the videos in the first place, so don't act high an mighty. The whole basis of the comment was flawed. You should be thankful that I knew the videos and only wanted to make a joke. With that attitude (first spoiling then blaming the other person) people will get really angry at you.
@Modie2 жыл бұрын
@@genericusername2426 Ehm, just because you don't say what is in the video doesn't mean it's not a spoiler. You tell me that it's hard to interpret written language but act the same way. You are telling me, a person who you think doesn't know anything about Honeyworks, to watch a video without even mentioning that this might spoil a future plot point. Why do you think reddit always deletes comments that do things like that in their discussions? Because it's easy for people to get spoiled if someone just tells them "there is a video that exists, go watch it". I mean, what do you think is supposed to happen after that comment and assuming I read it? I would advise you to maybe look up what is considered a spoiler in most communities because of that. As for the second part, I never said it is impossible for things to be misinterpreted but it tells a lot about you to assume I was attacking you personally instead of assuming someone was just making a joke. For example, I also never said you were spoiling on purpose. I just said what you did is considered a spoiler. You don't want to spiral down this hole, but you should maybe think about yourself. The second problem you have is that even AFTER being told it wasn' t supposed to be an attack on you, YOU were the one that still went this way. YOU were the one who wanted to die on that hill by telling me something along the lines of "you can't be sarcastic and then tell the other person to not take it personal" instead of just saying "I misunderstood, maybe you can be a bit more careful next time as well". Again, I didn't think you spoiled on purpose, I made clear now why this can be considered a spoiler and therefore it's over. This could have been the same with the other part. But this isn't what you wanted. YOU wanted this unnecessary discussion.
@Modie2 жыл бұрын
@@genericusername2426 What was that about sarcasm again? I also never said I did nothing wrong. Just that your way of approaching this isn't helpful in the discussion (both in feeling immediately attacked and about the spoiling issue). And the comments here are proof of that. I mean, 2 weeks was this comment online. Over 300 people saw it. Most of them probably knew what it was about. But YOU were the one where everything went down the drain. But of course there was nothing you could have done to avoid that happening. And I doubt we see each other again in a comment section. Because the way you act, no one will interact with you.

Not all childhood friends lose in the war called love. There’s Tamako Love Story and that works out well against that trope.
@hotohori692 жыл бұрын
There was no competition in this case. The ones the childhood friends always lose, are ones where the MC is trying to leave where they live, or explore new goals or activities...They then run into or meet someone with similar motivations leaving that childhood friend in the dust.
@victormagoco97522 жыл бұрын
@@hotohori69 Right, it all depends on the themes of the story: childhood friends usually represent the “known world” of the mc, so the mc’s opinion of said current life affects their relationship, on the other hand “forgotten childhood friends” like in Kizunaver usually represent destiny and self-discovery, so they have good chances of winning
@davideshnaur16412 жыл бұрын
Tamako Love Story did end with a returned confession it stops there we don’t know things turn out after that. There is the fact one of them already has plans on going to a film college far away at the end of the school year. The other has no real plans since they plan on forever working at the mochi shop. But I can easily imagining everything working out.

Why restrict yourself to childhood friends? There are plenty of people out there if you are willing to broaden your horizons. If you are still struggling you should ask yourself if you would want to be in a relationship with yourself, and if the answer is no then what would you need to change to fix that? Self confidence is sexy, and the best way to get it is to work on fixing your own flaws

A lot of anime shows are evidence that Chizuru is wrong. Childhood friends don't always make the best love interests (e.g. Heaven's Lost Property, Infinite Stratos, Mother of Goddess Dormitory, and Nyan Koi, First Girlfriend is a gal, Maken-ki, and others). Not to say that there aren't cases that work (e.g Case Closed).
