IMHO this is one of the most effective drum covers of this track on youtube….( w/ a very close second place earned by pocket queen’s take which is also out of this world ) ….both are fantastic drumming, top notch groove, all while doing the song justice and NOT cramming unnecessary and convoluted tricks all over the track for show. Some will disagree and that’s ok…but think of it this way - it’s kind of like working out your entire body snd skipping leg day…..( an overpowered top half while loosing sight of the foundation ) …and Yes, there are other covers of TIA that are really fantastic, performed by amazing drummers - but like many art forms - the power comes from the musician’s ability to edit, not create. just because you can doesn’t mean you always should. And I think this is one of the best examples of this. Kudos to you!
