Most kids there can't leave that's the sad thing. Basically they are trapped into the cycle. Not to mention have any support whatsoever most of them grow up independent. Alot of innocent kids that try to make a living and go to school get caught in between in gun fire or threatened. They also have no other choice but to go to rough gang controlled schools.
