I just turned 69. I've been running every other day and lifting weights. As one ages, some things don't work any more. You get a lot of body breakdowns like hips, knees and calves. In my 30s I didn't have those problems. I may have to adjust my routine into my 70s and 80s. Lately, I've been thinking of adding a bench press machine in my garage and a chin-up bar. Gold's Gym is for young guys showing off. I don't play that game any more. I exercise on my own time in my own way.

I’m 58, and I’m a preschool teacher in Japan. After Covid , I started to feel a little soft as our schools had been closed for a couple months and most time was spent indoors. I then decided to join a new gym that opened in my neighborhood just to work some major muscle groups and stretch and get the heart pumping. It’s been three years now since joining, I go to the gym three times a week, do low weight workouts on just the major muscle groups and low reps. I like to breathe well and take my time to do whatever exercise I’m doing properly. I’m in the best health I have been my whole life. I have good muscle definition but I’m not big like a lifter and I find my kids are always touching my arms… biceps, triceps as for some reason they find it interesting to feel. I honestly feel half my age. At first I went in the gym and tried to work out quick to get on with the rest of my day… now when I go, I know I’m in and out in one hour but I take my time and enjoy not only the workout but it has become a time to also think and spend some time with my Creator. I’ve also started meditation and reading scripture daily. So not only am I keeping my body physically fit, I try to keep the mind and spirit up to date as well. My wife is doing the same and even though this world is in a moral decline, our hope is in Jesus. He is coming soon. Prepare yourself!

Damn...that guy appreciates the gift of life...he wants to live. Imagine, most ppl die of "lifestyle diseases"...hard to believe we could change it, but most just literally watch themselves dwindle...."i have to eat this" "i can't do without that, i know what my doc said, but i need it". Personally my family has a history of heart disease & diabetes on one side, glaucoma on the other. I got diagnosed at 19 wt glaucoma & the specialist said that if you have that and get diabetes, thats an atomic bomb🙆🏻♂️😒. I was already over weight for my height....made the conscious effort to change my diet first & then eventually make it not dieting but my permanant way. I lost 39 lbs in two months just by eating habits. I love flour, but kissed it goodbye. Instead waiting to hear the doc say "ok u can't have this or that anymore" i just reduced....no flour mon-fri...over the weekend its a treat to have A pastry (don't get carried away) or a couple slies of bread. I totally do NOT consume sodas anymore...its more water than anything else....occasional fresh fruit juices....may have rice once or twice for the month...same with anything fried. Do some work, build that sweat...take in the sunshine. This has helped me tremendously....thank God for granting me the Wisdom & strength to pull it off. You have to really love life ppl....LOVE LIFE
