THAT LADY SAID IT RIGHT, "WE DON'T NEED DIANE SAWYER TO COME UP IN HERE"!! EXACTLY. I GREW UP IN CHICAGO AND MOVED TO EAST TENN AT 11YRS OLD. THE CITY WAS NOWHERE NEAR THIS DEADLY WHEN I LEFT. THE CRIME GREW STAGGERING IN THE 90'S ASSUMINGLY-BY THEN, I WAS AN ADULT LIVING IN THE SOUTH. DID IT EVER OCCUR TO PEOPLE THAT THESE WANNA-BE THUGS LIVE WITH 'SOMEONE'? THAT SOMEONE HAS TO KNOW OF THEIR BEHAVIOR AND OTHER MISDEEDS? THESE KIDS AND YOUNG PEOPLE ARE LIVING OFF OF OTHERS WHO ARE CONDONING THIS MADNESS! HOW CAN ONE SAY CHICAGO NEEDS HELP BUT YOU'RE AIDING THE CULPRITS OF THE STREET VIOLENCE? YOUR DISPOSTION AND ATTITUDE STARTS AT HOME. YOU HAVE TO HAVE PROPER REARING AND CARING PARENTS/GUARDIANS TO GUIDE YOU! I KNOW MANY KIDS DO NOT HAVE IT, SO IT'S EASY TO GET LED INTO GANGS AND CRIME. I ALSO KNOW THAT KIDS ARE BULLIED SO THEY JOIN GANGS FOR PROTECTION OR BEGIN CARRYING WEAPONS ALSO. IT'S A VICIOUS CYCLE, NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES, BUT OUTSIDERS CAN NOT BE THE ONLY LIFE SAVERS. GROWN FOLKS HAVE TO BE AN EXAMPLE TO THEIR CHILDREN AND COMMUNITY, BECAUSE FRANKLY, IT IS NOT THE STREET, DHS, STATE/FED. GOVT, CHURCH AND COMMUNITY'S JOB TO RAISE YOUR CHILD-IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILTY. THIS IS THE PROBLEM IN AMERICA-NO ACCOUNTABILITY ON THE PARENTS. LUV YOU CHI-TOWN ALWAYS! I lived in Kingston Jamaica for a time and had gun fire going off almost every night. It really does cause you to want to say indoors and "stay low". It's a shame the gangs can't see that they are fighting themselves. I don't care what they say in this video, It's a result of fear; one guy get's a gun, who threatens another, who then gets their own gun as a result of fearing getting shot. Fear & hunger are perhaps the strongest motivators on Earth.
