I have been a DevilDriver addict for years, and I could never really find another band that I liked as much since. I ran into an album called Hate Crew Deathroll by a band called Children of Bodom... I can't wait to explore the rest of their shit. Any suggestions? I suggest DevilDriver (self titled), The Last Kind Words, and Pray For Villains 🤘🖤

Oh course, fitting the Downfall is the farewell song for them and cool that they actually had a live setlist that had a song from every album. I know Alexi will still continue, but as for the classic Bodom, the lineup over 24 years (including demo days), this is effectively it. Sad that the day has come and will miss them. I’m glad I got to see them in 2017.

They're all planning to continue, however they explained on their Facebook recently that the reason for the split is that the 5 members simply couldn't agree with each other over many things unrelated to music for the last few years. They said none of them are retiring, but Alexi won't be using the CoB name, and that the 3 members who are quitting will be moving onto their own projects. Essentially, the band members don't want to work together anymore.

I saw them in Moscow. It was fun Alexi said "This song is gonna be the last song, oke?" And people shouted smth like "aayeaaaah" since they didn't understand. It was just a joke, people had to shout Noooo so Alexi was confused a bit and the band didn't play the full setlist. Well, i didn't come to the next show and i think smth broke after the Are You Dead Yet. However, EVERYTHING ends la vida continua.

Nah, Henkka is always so quiet and I don't think Janne has ever spoken about anything serious.

@@JohnnyNada So sad... He was the top first guitar player for me and inspired me since so long. I did not meet him but as far as I've been able to see he was kind person and shared a lot (ex: 100 guitar players project). R.I.P. Wildchild you are immortal 😭

Their explanation was that the 5 members have had disagreements for several years now, not just in music but in everything else as well. So, since they're unable to find a shared viewpoint, they don't want to work together anymore. They also confirmed that none of the members will be quitting music, but will be moving onto their own projects.

Well, basically he says: "Hi! Thanks for coming guys. These last 20 or so years have gone by so damn fast. I can't remember half of our gigs, but this night I'll always remember. Thanks for supporting me all these years, I'm glad you've been a part of my and band's life, I am going to miss you all so much. Thanks for coming out tonight. Thanks a lot guys!"
