Listening to Children of Bodom helped me get up, hold my head high, stare the shitty people in the face and fucking stand up for myself, no matter how hard people would try to put me down. It just gave me so much strength. Alexi's death feels so unreal! This guy, this music taught me how not to give a damn about spiteful people and just do my own thing. I just can't believe he's gone.

This song was what got me into Children of Bodom, and further got me to jump the gap into heavier metal stuff. It's mental that it's over a decade, and that he's now gone. I remember somewhere in the late 2000s, I missed the show they did when they came close to my town, but he had broken his arm or shoulder somehow and still did a show. I didn't see it, but I remember hearing about it.

RIP to my favourite guitarist of all time and the reason I started playing guitar, cob is my most listened band or artist in my life I've spent thousands if not tens of thousands listening to their music, I haven't listened to any metal music in the past couple of years but this just devastated me entirely, I cant express how sad I am, rip to the legend his music will never die

I stumbled upon this in 9th grade. that was 12 years ago. I can safely say this opened my eyes to new genre and changed my life for the better. Rest in peace, Alexi. What a legend.

You can tell Alexi really likes this song. His energy is great. Makes him seem much larger than he really is. COBHC forever.

This is the song that got me into COB way back when I was in high school. Saw this video on Headbanger's Ball which would air every Saturday night on MTV. Once I discovered the whole "Are You Dead Yet?" album I had to back track to their older material and was instantly blown away. Alexi is one of my first influences on wanting to learn lead guitar and got me into the European metal scene. Rest in power Alexi. May you shred with the greats of Dimebag, Randy Rhoads, and EVH.

I was 12 when this was realeased. Cob was one of the first bands I ever listened and I have been loving them ever since. I'm Finnish just like Laiho and his death was a shock to everyone. Everyone praised him as a national hero who made Finnish metal famous across the world.

Here again because I love Alexi :( I got an album signed by them, he seemed like a super nice dude. His tone on his instructional (that classical string tone) is something I'll remember for quite a while. Super inspirational player and band. A couple people in my family who are very much not metalheads even enjoyed the songs I showed them. Not to mention all the small things like how there may never be a better Flying V mascot. RIP brother. I'm glad I at least got to shake your hand and say thanks for coming. All love to the people who knew him.

Tommy Rickman, your roots are somewhere before the impact of the 3rd moon to the Earth in 17-18 century of falsificated history. Becuase of the impact the axis of the Earth moved for the first time and seasons began... Mammoth got frozen - you can still get them in Russia. Of course many people died under tsunami.
