Children are no strangers to mood swings (although they might not recognize what they are), but they often have a difficult time understanding or controlling emotions. This message reminds all of us that sadness is completely normal, and not always in our power to change. However, we serve a God who promises joy and restoration. He is with us even in hard times, and has the power to transform our hearts and turn our mourning into dancing.

Kristin is a servant of Christ who is blessed to currently be serving as Directory of Christian Education at Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Broomfield, CO. Originally a California native, Kristin has a master's in teaching from Biola University, as well as a master's in theology and a DCE certificate from Concordia Irvine. She spent several years in Georgia before being called to Colorado. She is overjoyed to be the mother of Samuel and wife of Colten, who also serves full-time at Risen Savior as Worship Director. In addition to enjoying her dream vocation, she also loves running, baking, music, history, and strong coffee.
