Billy ask her, do you think God brought us together, she said yes I do. He said he'll lead me and you will follow. Notice he didn't say .. I'll be the leader and you follow. God must be leading the man. A man doesn't step into those shoes to push his wife around. Billy was a man after God's own heart. When a man doesn't walk in obedience, and hurts his wife, God doesn't even listen to his prayers. I've seen alot of men arrogantly think they have a right to demand and force submission on there wife in the name of God. Billy set an example of how God expected it. God will lead... (make sure your listening, and obeying, submitting to him) and she will follow. The promises of God are on your side. See you one day, Billy, and Ruth!

Thank you for sharing that from God's view of a wife and a mother. Woman of God remember we are God's child and we need lots of Mercy, Grace, and Love and Forgiveness to be the women God has called us to be. There are no perfect Christians just forgiven and each with different talents to be used for His Glory Amen

Ruth Bell Graham was an extremely beautiful example of a godly mother and wife. This meant that she had her own flaws and weaknesses and was humble enough to admit this but what truly shines through very powerfully in her life is her Christ like humility and submission to God and His word, and her prayer life and unwavering faith and trust in Gods promises. She comes across as a very real person, just ordinary like everyone else, simple and humble yet so powerful in the impact she has made on her husband, her children, her community and the world. I look forward to meeting her in heaven one day soon to thank her for all the sacrifices she made to walk in total obedience to the Lord so she could leave a legacy for other women. I know she is enjoying her rest in heaven!

Wow. Her wisdom is grounded in the word of God! I have learned a lot from every word she said. She is indeed a woman of God and a woman of Word. The weight of being a parent plus the weight of her prodigal sons, and the grace of God surpasess them all. You can tell by the way of the interviewer how it must have beem hard for Ruth to deal it by faith alone, yet her response was like... trust God and the Lord will take care of it all.

I am mother and father in the same time for my baby girl. I wish I could be only the mom but there is nobody to be the daddy.
@rebeccawright20385 жыл бұрын
My sympathy is with you. It's hard to be a single mom, I know: my daughter and I were where you are now. Don't be looking for a "father" for her. Instead, depend on God. Let Him take care of that. He may provide an earthly father figure for her, but He may choose to be her Abba, Himself. What a great honour! To be God's own special child! Teach her that God is her Abba--her loving Heavenly Father (He is yours, as well!), and teach her His precepts. Read the Gospels with her, on a level that she can understand. The message is in children's Bibles and Bible Story Books. She can indeed know Him! Spend time in His Word on your own, reading the words of Jesus and in the Psalms. That Book has in it all you need to be the kind of mother she deserves. Let her know that God loves her and wants the very best for her, and that, by loving Him, and thru salvation in His Son, her big Brother, Jesus, she can live the life He wants for her by obeying Him, and He will guide her all her life. "Pray without without giving up. . . Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. . .Faithful is He that calleth you, Who also will do it." --I Thessalonians 5:17, 21, & 24

i just don’t understand her words “i know a few wonderful christian that they do smoke” .... for me it is shocking. I am sure no real christian smokes ! ....
@kelliemurphy14545 жыл бұрын
Rebbe smoking is not the unforgivable sin you know. Just like there are people who drink alcohol but are still Christians. Like Ruth Graham I know some wonderful Christians who smoke, I also know some who drink. As someone once said, smoking won't send you to hell, you'll just smell as though you've been there. All joking apart though, Jesus has a whole lot more to say about those who are quick to judge others thinking their sins not too bad, than he ever had to say about anyone who smoked. Each of us has to look to ourselves before we start pointing the finger at others, thinking their sins are worse than ours.
@shine.bright.20685 жыл бұрын
Kellie Murphy i am not pointing fingers and judging,and for sure i do not think smoking is the unforgivable sin. But we are to sanctify our bodies as christians. We’ve been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ and by that i do not think it is acceptable as christians to smoke or drink. They haven’t burried their desires of the flash. It is not jugdment. I choose what i watch carefully and what people are teaching on internet becouse some are not true! I have the right of opinion when i see something is wrong. And i am still very surprised by what she said. I have always considered BILLY GRAHAM’s family very Godly. He inspired me every time i listen to him,great men of God! But i do not have to accept everything they teach,if something feels wrong to me and it is not according to the word of God! God Bless you
@kelliemurphy14545 жыл бұрын
Rebbe I agree, we have been cleansed by the blood of of Jesus Christ and therefor justified in His sight, but we are being sanctified daily. As we walk with Him he shows us things He wants to change in us. We don't become like Him overnight. All of us change as we walk with Him and for some, smoking might just be something they haven't brought to the Lord yet. Yes you do have right to your opinion as we all do, and we can all see wrong in each other. We shouldn't conclude however that because someone is not perfect yet they're not Christians. All of us still fall short, ALL of us. For some it might be something obvious like smoking, for others perhaps it's something less obvious like a critical spirit or gossip or a bad attitude or any number of other things the Lord wants to change in us. Overcoming the flesh is a process as we learn and grow in Him. As we allow His spirit to do His work in us we do change. There is no specific mention scripturally about smoking, albeit most of us would agree that it's something the Lord probably wants to deal with in the smokers life at some time or other. These people are still "real Christians" nevertheless. Whilst it might be preferable for Christians not to smoke, it's just as important, if not more so, that all the other 'sins' we all have, obvious and not so obvious are brought before Him that He might deal with them in us that we might grow in Him. During all the process of growing in Him and becoming like Him we are still Christians. Sinners, saved by grace and growing more like the Lord as we turn our eyes to Him and away from the world. God bless.
@shine.bright.20685 жыл бұрын
Kellie Murphy i agree with most of what you said. although,i keep my opinion. i have never seen a true christian smoking or drinking or doing things for the flesh. i dont say a i am a perfect christian ,i have a lot to deal with myself. I pray Jesus to cleanse me every day of my sins. God bless you. We have the right to not agree in everything that seems bad. I repet,it is not judgmental. Ruth was an amazing women of God. But that is just a reason not to trust 💯 in people,only in God and His words
@rebeccawright20385 жыл бұрын
To be sure, I have neither smoked, nor used alcohol. Nor will I. However, the personal habits of those who profess Christ as Saviour and Lord are best dealt with by the Holy Spirit and we fellow disciples should let the Spirit do His own work. True Christians may indeed smoke. True Christians may indeed use wine. I have friends who are devoutly Christ loving and use wine. As for smoking Christians, two outstanding servants of the Lord Jesus immediately come to mind: Casper ten Boom, the faithful Dutch Christian who died at the hands of the Nazis, because he hid Jews in an all out effort to save their lives; and Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the well-known German theologian who was also martyred by the Nazis, because he openly and strongly opposed Hitler's bid to commandeer the church and make himself its head. The blood of these, His martyrs, cries out from beneath the altar, and God hears. (Revelation 6:9-; As the Apostle Paul wrote to the Jewish believers: "Ye have not yet resisted unto blood."(Hebrews 12:4), so I humbly acknowledge that these men of God are far beyond me in their service and suffering for the cause of Christ.
