I love this! I'm currently homeschooling my four youngest, the older three have already graduated. We have a similar start time of 10:30 most mornings. Sometimes that even gets pushed to 11:00 depending on what's happening that day. We're definitely not early morning starters, (unless we're getting ready to go on vacation). We usually finish our school day before lunchtime and the rest of the afternoon is for interest led learning and lots of open-ended play! I always love when you upload a new video. Your channel has been such an inspiration for me for all these years!!

Hello!! I remember you from ages ago. Congrats on graduating three of your children. You’re in a unique position of the in between where you can gauge things you’ve done for their effectiveness and find comfort in things that may be non traditional like a late start time versus an early start as they do in public school. You probably also experience the value of education now that you have grown children and you can see what was necessary and what wasn’t. As you are still homeschooling, you can make micro adjustments for your younger students.

Thank you for this video, I have always enjoyed your channel. We do somethings similar especially the large lunch and that takes a good amount of time in our day.

You’re welcome! Glad to know you have a long break for lunch, too. It naturally splits our day into two.

It’s so great to hear from a veteran homeschooler with a less than traditional daily rhythm. My son had the exact same sleep pattern at 6-8 years old, the school bus would roll by at 7:30am and I was so glad to not have to try to have him up and ready that early because it would have been so stressful! At least one of my kids these days always wants to break out the math between dinner and bedtime 😂 I gave up trying to be part of the “done by noon” homeschool crowd because it clearly wasn’t for us.

It is great to hear your perspective on a more relaxed routine, especially when you see the need in your own family for a different rhythm! I'm so impressed with homeschoolers who can be "done by noon", and relieved to know there are families who have different schedules.

Asalam alykum! I saw your vidoes when I had my first born 11 years ago. I thought your channel had complete info on homeschooling and the way you delivered your content was so amazing and for that reason I remembered your channel name by heart! (Trust me now a days we don’t even remember our close family members ph. # due relaying on ph. Book) I had desired to teach my kids my own ways but with work and many other things I had that at the back burner. My kids are at one of the very good schools but with LGBTQ2-+ agenda being pushed to our kids and how it’s being normalized I and my husband decided to homeschooled starting new year inshallah! That means I will be going through a lot of your vidoes to get help to see how to start, what and how to teach! I wanted to thank you for taking your time to post your videos, I will definitely be taking advantage of them. Thank you and I will begin my journey by incorporating your style!

I want to know how to put Islamic studies into the day. Any suggestions?
@PepperandPineКүн бұрын
Yes! We include much of it into daily subjects with occasions of a main lesson block that focuses on Islamic studies, but almost always our Islamic studies are part of our living and daily activities.
