Honestly all these measurements are approximate measurements for a child... If your baby is a chunky baby or a smaller baby theses measurements won't work.... I did follow the measurements for my daughter when she was 1 and the clothes were to big.. Best advice I could give u is to measure your baby and write it down, then use her measurements for your baby's age make 2 outfits from scrap fabric and see which one works better... kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGGVnqmFnNiCiposi=v_bHY7t915v7Z4jH This is the video I watched check it out and follow the instructions hope it helps... p.S - I've been making cloths for my daughter for 2 years now
