Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome: Ben's Story

I just recently found out that my unborn son Jaquan has Hypoplastic left heart syndrome. When they told me that he would need surgery I was a little worried but after hearing Ben's story I feel a little better. Thank you for sharing your son's story because I that my boyfriend and I are not alone and that there are other kids like Jaquan out there. if you guys could go through the surgery with Ben than we can go through it with our son. Thank you again for sharing your story and easing some of my pain.

I am 28 weeks pregnant with a HRHS baby. I smiled when you said how active he was that he wants to live. I told my hubby the same thing. Baby Hannah is much more active than her twin Hailey. We will fight for her as long as she continues to fight.

My sweet girl had HLHs and didn’t make it past 33weeks 5days gestation. I love to hear stories of those babies that get to go home and to thrive.
