Design Essentials is the only Black-owned brand that I absolutely adore! I recommend them to everyone. Their products are pricey but very much worth every penny. The price point is to be taken into consideration when you're buying quality products and theirs are worth every penny.

I love design essential natural line. That’s all I use. My hair is thick, but my strands are fine, so I can’t use heavy products. This is the only line that brings out my curls, gives lasting hydration, and allows my hair to be low maintenance.

Try the Daily Moisturizing Lotion instead of the Leave In conditioner and then the curl enhancing mousse. The moisturizer is AMAZING!!!!! A little sticky but the look last for days without reapplying.

I love the mousse for twist outs. U dont need anything but a lil cream n the mousse and your twist out is popping ALL THE TIME now for wng, no. It just doesnt give me enough definition

I recently tried their Avocado & Almond Shampoo and I LOVE IT...when I say MOISTUREEEEEEE 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 my current favorite shampoo. And a little goes a long way. I’m a strong believer that my hair loves anything with 🥑 if you’re able to, please try their shampoo off-cam.

Great review Faye. I never considered buying Design Essentials because of the price and thought it was for the salon. when it came in a Curlbox I was like why they send this not knowing they had a line for natural hair. It’s so bomb. This is one brand that I would repurchase again and I hold on to the products I have now with a Kung Fu grip. I tell family and friends you can use the products over here but not my DE.

I've been using the design essentials shampoo, conditioner and leave in for about 5 years and love it. For the leave in, it is light weight and doesnt weigh your hair down if you decide to blow dry it. Imma a lazy girl so I never wash and style the same day. I let all my leave ins set overnight. Btw I have hella thick hair. Love your channel!!

I've used the conditioner and leave in conditioner for a long time. Love them! I have 4C hair and I really like using the conditioner for detangling and I think the leave in helps my hair retain moisture over time.

Design Essentials Naturals is the only products I use on my hair! I’ve tried to revert back to products I used in the past, and they don’t detangle or hydrate my hair as well as DE Naturals does. I have THiCK, THiCK hair, and so does my daughter!!! I love all DE Naturals Products! 🥰🤩

I have always wanted to use other stuff in this line, but due to pricing of the products I have never bought other items. However, I swear by the styling creme in this line. Its wonderful. Thank you for this review! A stylist recommended this brand as she felt my moisture balance was off…but I was skeptical as it didn’t even seem like she knew how to properly handle my hair. So before I went and spent a whole bunch of money I appreciate having the chance to see someone else try it. Might just stick with Mielle. They have a lovely, thick leave-in conditioner

Their honey creme shampoo is amazing & the only product that I’ll continually purchase from them. I’ve tried the shampoo and conditioner from their avocado line when I first went natural but I wasn’t impressed plus I feel like their stylers aren’t really for type 4 hair

It works GREAT for my THICK and COURSE hair. I wouldn't say it's only for finer hair because my hair does become soft and defined after using it and letting it sit for 30 minutes or so and I only use DE.

I have the shampoo, leave in and daily moisturizing lotion. That combo is bomb. The moisturizer leaves your hair so soft and truly moisturized. It is an expensive line but it’s worth the price to me!
