I love these dragons so much, they're all so cute and your style suits the flowiness~ of dragons so well! when I was a kid I was obsessed with mlp and drew them (and wolves??) nonstop 😭did you ever get into flight rising? it was a fun dragon-themed virtual pet site, it's probably still around but it was sooo cute

Wow! A five foot tall master study is insane! I admire that kind of dedication. I wasn't online as a kid, so didn't get into any online games, but I'll check out the art!

Not a book but a game that I've been enjoying is Cavern of Dreams! It's a really cute 3D platformer puzzle game where you play as Fynn, a little jester dragon who has to go save all his siblings. It uses low-poly models and a style reminiscent to some n64 games, it really feels like playing a game that was made in the late 90s that never got released. While the game is adorable, it also is very atmospheric and creepy at points. The puzzles are so much fun, too. The game is so artistically interesting and also just so well made, it's only $13 on steam and I'm pretty sure it was made for the switch, as well. Even the music is so nice, I've been sleeping to the soundtrack.

My first big book was Dragone Rider by Funke! I loved the other magical creatures that were prt of the main character troupe. Dragons and brownies and magical creatures all over! I’m working on more art than i ever have this year and i’m working on soft launching my artist brand before the end of year. I love the colors you use in your art!! These are autumnal indeed 🥰

When I was a kid, I loved The Dragon Chronicles by Susan Fletcher. There were three books in the series.

made me so happy to hear you mention dragon slippers (i was confused at first because it's called dragonskin slippers here), that was definitely my most intense dragon book obsession as a kid and i loved rereading it recently. i can vividly remember hand-writing my own sequel to it in this giant rainbow-striped notebook (i had no idea that sequels actually existed for many years, i never saw them over here), honestly it was probably novella-length but alas, i have no idea where it went. this is a weirder one because the creature definitely isn't a dragon, but it's juuust dragon-ish enough and idk something about the story just *feels* like a dragon story to me - there's a kids' book from the 70s called gift from winklesea which was major imagination fuel for me, my copy of that is still a prized possession. the cover art of this giant seal-esque creature is gorgeous. on the childhood obsessions... they've never really ended for me (thanks autism). my parents read an animal encyclopedia to me as my bedtime story for years, which i've only discovered recently is apparently quite strange. and yeah, the dragons too - i earnestly asked for a dragon for my birthday every year up to an embarrassing age.

@@madden.r.grimes I liked G4. G3's art style is so gorgeous though that's a good choice

I’m a mom so I’m partial to the momma and baby but the Fall theme dragon is so good. I don’t think I have any childhood obsessions. I was always in sports so that took up most of my time

That would explain it, i always hated sports 😅

Ursula LeGuin's Earthsea books have some very cool dragon side characters; Anne McCaffrey's Dragon Rider series: the first few were quite strong

First off Madden, lovely dragons! I had to draw some dragons too while plaything this video and it was delightful! Second off, I cannot recommend the Temeraire Series by Naomi Novik enough! The dragons are intelligent speaking characters who are integral to the story. The relationship between our main dragon and human is one of the most precious and sincere things I have ever read. It’s historical fiction rather than fantasy so there isn’t magic or anything going on, but there is Plenty of adventure! I’ve also enjoyed To Shape A Dragon’s Breath by Moniquill Blackgoose. The magic system in that book is really interesting, but while there are dragons in it, it is definitely a story about the humans. I still think it’s good but I really felt the lack of dragon characters after reading a series like Temeraire. I used audiobooks for Temeraire and To Shape a Dragon’s breath and had a wonderful time. I don’t have any big art things coming up, I’m mostly trying to keep up the habit of drawing often, which has been a bit tough since I’ve been so busy with school. As far as childhood obsessions go I was as into Transformers as I think I could be. My sister was also super into them and it got to the point where we were quoting the tv shows so much that our parents banned us from uttering a single quote. And I think I have to say that the pumpkin thief is my favorite dragon :)
