I absolutely enjoyed it! Learning to do this is definitely on my list. I think my lil neurospicy brain would love mulling paints

this was a really cool video! you inspire me to finally start making watercolors too, i have all the tools but need to make a fresh binder... do you make the binder on your own or use a pre-mixed one? and also, mixing ultramarine with copper was a very interesting choice, i wonder how it looks in an actual work

I make my own from powdered gum Arabic, i use Arleebean's recipe

Glad to see you are feeling well again! Ive yet to make my own paints outside of when I made them in art school. Some day id love to though as I am rather picky about consistency when painting. Thanks for sharing your paint making with us. :D

This was absolutely lovely to watch! I've always had too much respect to make my own colours, so thank you for de-mystifying the process! =) If one would want to get started - which binder would you recommend and how many different pigment colours? Would the three primary colours be a good start? Looking forward to the next video!

I'd start with single pigment paints, Making paint and mixing paint aren't really the same, there are definitely paints with more than one pigment, but single pigment is the gold standard for reliable color mixing. I'd start with an iron oxide/ocher color, because they're super safe and cheap. As for binder, i just bought gum Arabic on amazon and mixed it with water, arleebean made a n where she explained the ratio and i used that.

The resulting color is beautiful. I didn't think the two pigments would work so well together. What will you do with so much of this color? I didn't see a link for an Etsy shop or another place providing access to your work. Excellent Content! 👏👏👏💜💜💜

Honestly? I might give it away to friends, but who knows, its not like it will go bad, maybe I'll do a giveaway or something in the far future

I loved the video! Everything looked really nice and the process was very interesting✨. I hope you make another one like this, but maybe with some green, that would be nice! I still have to catch up with your videos😅 P.S. I loved minute 8:37, it sounded funny :v
