I admire you, Connie, for having the courage to talk about your bad experiences. You're not the only one who remembers your school days this way. For thousands of people, high school was also a difficult time in their lives. For me, it was also a few difficult years that left a clear mark on my psyche. Depression and panic attacks were well known to me. Now I can look at this time from a distance and I have thought about many things. I try to remember those few good moments from the past, although there were not many of them. I think it's good that you finally brought this up. It is worth expressing what we feel. You make great content Connie, keep doing it.

It’s refreshing to see someone open up and be honest about their high school experience. I went through a bunch of similar experiences and looked forward and received a better experience in college.

I understand you, I for example, am now completely different than I was in high school. I completely turned around and got a focus on the beauty of the world, I used to be completely different (I would say 16-18 is the time when you're sometimes really weird). You develop and gain experiences during this time. What I personally find extremely difficult is figuring out which path you want to take, what you want to do as a job, etc. Nice video Connie :)

connie, that was so beautiful. your mind works the same way mine does. i’m 16 in 11th grade, and this was also a year that i’ve studied more than usual in. i reminisce about the past constantly and try to find the positive in such situations. highschool is a nightmare and from this video, i feel like it gets better from here. i hate it when people say that your teenage years are the best years of your life because that isn’t true unless you have a specific personality, specifically one that doesnt overthink all the time. i love your videos so much, thank you connie ❤

I simply love how many different things you are willing to talk about in these videos. I remember high school as a horrible experience; I can honestly say, several decades later, things just get better with each decade and that awful era seems so far ago. You're certainly going to have a better and better life as time goes by.

You are reflecting on your past and the two events that stood out were the loss of your friend and going to college during the pandemic. They affected the following years of your life. Both were very traumatic events and it’s perfectly normal for you to reflect on them and try and understand them. Learn what you can and live in the moment as best you can. You’ve dealt with a lot already but your self-reflection shows you are on the right path of growth. Keep it up. You’ll always look upon your past but don’t get stuck in it because you are in the present.

As a 29 year old who soon will turn 30, I already miss my 20s lol. But at the same time I learned a lot and grew as a person, even though these past 4 years I've been in a slump and barely traveled. I do regret feeling like I've wasted good chunks of my 20s but at the same time I'm grateful for the good times, new experiences, growth. You can't plan your life and you're gonna hit a lot of pot holes along the way. The idea is to have a plan, conserve energy for things that matter and have faith in your growth. I know you'll figure things out :)

@@connieramos Another thing I've learned is that not letting who you were in your past define who you'll be in the future is not (THAT) hard. It's more of a mental thing to pull through. Rapid and meaningful change can happen in your life in a couple of weeks. I've spent most of 2020-2022 sulking and being lazy. It was only last year when I started to take some serious steps in changing my life. It got to the point where I got sick and tired of being sick and tired. This week I quit my job, I have some savings and I'm hoping that by summer I'll get a new job in Spain or Ireland. I'm from Romania :)

I personally was very popular in high school and now the sameway in College. I do miss it. But I do share you're opinion, highschool sucked and I think the whole educational system has to be reformed as it is far too old and you can feel it. I think many of the people who didn't like highschool were too much thinking of the opinions of others. You just have to live life the way you want without thinking what others will think of you.

I also find high school years miserable, mostly because i was super anxious and mostly uninspired and depr3ssed during those 4 years (+ the 8th year of elementary+middle school). Didnt go out, didn't make friends, stayed at home mainly playing PC games and making friends online via those games. Didn't want to study and mind you that i was a grade "5" kid in all previous 8 years (in my country grading system goes from 1 to 5, and 1 is the worst, 5 the best) and then in high school i was pretty average without studying, mostly a "3" student, sometimes "4", sometimes "2" happened, but 3 would be in average. Later on I found out my bad lifestyle caused depression mostly, got diagnosed with thyroid issues and PCOS. Anxiety was mainly caused by the dudes I would meet online and then fall in love with them. Terribe, terrible time of my life. From around late 13-early 14 to 18. And some adults had nerve to tell me that those school years will be the best years of my life and that i will wish to go back. Absoluty fkng NOT! Worst years of my life ever, being a teenager was hell. Now that im 21, like you said, I am also a bit calmer, and also learned how to deal with emotions and life better now. 20s are so far a little better, but some people say (like my brother) that he enjoys 30s more than 20s and teenage years. We shall see. All the best to you Connie, lighted up Marlb 4 with u ❤

I can absolutely relate, highschool was very much a part of my life I didn’t enjoy, or maybe didn’t get to enjoy because of covid among other things like switching schools. Off topic here but, since you only smoke once every other day, have you tried cigars before? For me as a semi-occasional smoker I prefer longer smokes, so cigars are great for me. If you want to try to something cheap and available with a medium to strong tobacco taste as you seem to like the taste of tobacco, you should pick up some toscanellos or full tuscanos.
