Omgosh these were my first games too... I remember, my little sister bought the game for the DS because all her guy friends in elementary school were talking about it. She couldn't finish a battle (I think it was Totem Wishiwashi...) and had me try. I beat it, and I was immediately hooked on the game. She ended up giving the game to me

i was insanely obsessed with pokemon when i was younger and pokemon ultra sun was the first game i ever played (both from the series and in general) i lost my 3ds a few years ago but i wish i could go back on that save file and revisit my childhood

Despite all the hate the game rightfully got because of its unskippable cutscenes and slow progression, this game was the culmination of 20 years adventure and it couldn't have been better (Except USUM, fuck USUM)
