Gonna be totally honest, Gen 7 might be my favorite. I feel like it’s structure and story are really unique in the grand scheme of the series and act as a nice shake-up, and they might experience that “Oh yeah, now that it’s been a while, I’m allowed to voice the opinion that the game is good” effect sooner than others.

Currently playing through UM after just being fundamentally disinterested in replaying anything but Legends Arceus and I forgot this is The. Defining. Pokémon. RPG (to me). BW/BW2 are great too but the aesthetics, world design, music, characters/char. design, new creatures and introduction of regional forms, story, dialogue, I could go on forever; it feels like the last grand Pokémon effort. 2016 had so much hype and community from Go and it led to Gen 7 really being a pleasant era, even with the eventual fatigue with US/UM. Certain harsh criticism that hovered around this game like the long tutorial / hand-holding kind of just flows by for me nowadays because I'm not in such a rush, enjoying Alola and all it has to offer.

These tracks ring with nostalgia. It only hit me as I was listening that USUM were the last mainline Pokemon games I've played. It's been 5 or 6 years since the last time I picked one up. I used to buy Pokemon annually, it was my mom's favorite gift to me every year. Always had it at launch. When I turned down Sword and Shield, my mom was shocked, haha (never liked GO so I never picked up Let's Go either). But Sun & Moon and USUM mean a lot to me. They were my first steps into the competitive Pokemon sphere, the first games I had successful shiny hunts... I fulfilled childhood dreams that I carried into my teenage years in these games. Gen 7 wasn't perfect, but it was fun. The rallying cry after Gen 6 disappointed me so hard. These songs resonate with the sound of those final times when I enjoyed this series deeply. I always wonder if I'll ever return to Pokemon. Probably not, given that nothing has drawn me back in so far. But I at least cherish that Sun and Moon's gorgeous soundtrack will remain as my sendoff to a lost love.

This ost is so nostalgic and peaceful. I think this might be the most relaxing sountrack of the entire pokemon series. Its laid back, happy, and makes you feel the same while listening. Thank you for this compilation, Im now going to play it on loop for days lol

Pokemon moon. My first pokemon game. it truly was an amazing experience. the music was amazing, the battling was fun, the story was great, everything about it was wonderful. i will never forget my shiny psyduck that i accidently got.

usum was my first pokemon game i played myself. i only vividly remember fire red from when i was a toddler i believe, since my brother had it on gameboy. no matter how much hate this game gets i'll always like it. sure it held your hand a lot and felt somewhat more childish, but i still liked how unique it felt to the other games. i miss my childhood. being a teenager only 2 years away from adulthood now...growing up sucks

With this being my 3rd pokemon game, *My first two being Yellow and gold, hand-me-downs from my dad!* I've learned almost EVERYTHING in this game. *Even the cries!* This game was like home to me, my first pokemon being Litten, *Being because i had a pet cat before Named Lolly, who was a black cat. The best part: The difficulty. I never knew these games would be that hard.

Super happy with the inclusion of Ferry Terminal, it's seriously my favorite Pokemon track out of them all, and in my opinion super underrated. I remember first hearing it while playing the Sun and Moon demo a month before the game launched and instantly growing attached. It just has that timeless nostalgic feel

Gen 7 is my second favorite after Gen 5, i had so much fun in Sun and Ultra Sun, the soundtrack is great in this gen, so does in Gen 5. Also, I want that Alolan Ninetales picture, it is so cute.

This is the best gen for me. I played this game when I was 8 years old and I tried to beat the totem araquanid with my torracat. The day I finaly beat the game I was like sure let's see how many more things I can do and I tried to complete the pokedex and in the process I hached a shiny pawniard! Alola will always have a special place in my heart♥️

I remember this theme specifically when it played for Lillie's dad appearing with Lusamine. That was in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. For this theme in Sun and Moon, I think it played for Hapu sometime in the game. :) Hope I could help. 🙏
