Some Shellshock Tips
12-15 wind is 1 Angle Adjustment (Give or Take) if you are at 100% Power! So use that to your advantage
The 100/86 Rule! At 100 Power and 86 Angle, your shot will land at the edge of your target. If your target is below you, youll have to subtract some power. If the Target is above you, youll have add some power (or move closer)
Always track the wind! Every turn type the wind in chat, usually in team chat so the enemy doesn't get it tracked for them!

I actually really liked this newish editing style for those first 2 games. The zoom-ins are nice as long as they are done in moderation. Overall it made everything more fun to watch so keep it up!

Disagree. It was over-edited. 2 zooms in the first 30 seconds. 1 zoom in the next 30. 6 zooms in the next 2 minites. All zooms zoomed in too much and were incredibly disorienting. It also jumpcut too much, without enough time between content. There were not enough "valleys" of activity, making the video unbalanced. Think those bad KZbinrs who jumpcut not only every sentence, but into the beginning and end of each sentence leaving no time between sentences. It's not quite the same, since this isn't scripted, but at least part of it is similar to that idea. The editing here was not good, it was over-edited. I'm hoping most videos in the video will go back to how it used to be. I have faith in Chilled though.

Green0Photon It was not even _close_ to being over-edited. SovietWomble, hell, even Kryoz put in tons of editing flairs without making it seem forced. This is the bottom of the high editing barrel. Makes me wonder how much of this you've actually seen that aren't clickbait KZbinrs.

For the type of game that Shellshock is, this was "overedited". Of course I've seen videos that have edits literally every 5 seconds but it's not as jarring because the gameplay is fast. Shellshock, on the contrary, is very slow and mostly stationary so the zooming in and out is disorientating and doesn't allow you to see where the other shots land which imo, is half the fun lol. I support Chilled by all means but I hope he goes for a less is more approach.

This was...glorious to watch. First off, the level difference, coupled with the experience difference, is obvious. Of course Chilled is going to make these guys wet themselves in either excitement, awe, or terror. Second, because of his higher level, he's got access to weapons they've never heard of, furthering the terror pee that ensues. Third, and most importantly, his experience allows him to calculate his shots a lot better than Mini, Ohm, or Kryoz can. Not saying that any of them are trash at the game...just that Chilled is God-Tier by comparison.

I really liked both editing styles, especially the first one with the zooming and occasional visualization of stuff like the mountain with a face, however I do feel like it was a little overboard with clip art styled things like the crying face next to Kryoz at some point in the video. Then again I’m only one person. I’ve been a longtime fan and it’s nice to see the channel grow and change.

Hey Chilled! Some criticism! Overall the new editing is nice but the zoom-ins are too fast and jarring. They're really not that great. That's about it tho. Everything else is *ok_hand* but I will miss seeing everyone be able to fire. But I did really like the split-screen edit. I think that could be utilized a lot when 2 or more epic shots are hit.

Personally, I think the zoom-ins were good, but just a little excessive. There were several cuts to zoom in on someone talking (alternative could be a quote of what they said at the top of the video to emphasize something silly and keep the music/audio edits) but it started to quickly add up imo. Something I liked from previous videos (but haven't seen recently?) was letting everything unfold first and then slow-mo in a zoomed-in area.

Note: compliments are after the criticism. If I don't mention something, it's probably because it's already good. Also, I'm a huge fan of Chilled has been editing videos so far. Tl;dr: the first part of the video was over-edited in multiples ways. It zoomed in too much/too often. There were too many cuts, removing too much gameplay and the necessary downtime between events. There were also too many "funny things". I assume part of the over-editing was because you were trying to show off as much as you could in a small amount of time (funny things), but it was still over-edited in other ways (jumpcuts/zoom). In the future, be more conservative with your edits. --- The first two games were over-edited. The zooming, which happened every 30 seconds or so, was incredibly jarring. I can focus on those parts if there is something interesting; having it zoomed in for me makes it hard to focus on what's happened and loses vital information. If you really wanted more zooms, keep them to around two per video, not 20 to 30. Try not to overly zoom in, ie. leave more room around the room. Try not to have it follow a shot; it makes it hard to marvel at when that's the only thing I can see. Having the map you're shooting over offers contract. Again, zooming out a bit helps, especially since a moving shot is disorienting. These overly-edited parts also jumpcut through those games more than usual. This ignores the point of editing. For example, Galm doesn't edit. His games feel more boring, because there is more time between something interesting or funny. Editing reduces this empty space, but you still need some to keep it balanced. Your videos in the past have been balanced. This one hasn't been. That said, the little edits over the video were funny, though there seem to be a lot of them. I assume this was just for demonstration. Also, having what you're shooting helps for the Kryoz games. I still prefer it from your point of view (obviously). In recent videos, you also have some though text below your box, like Sark, which I've been liking as well. Overall, be more conservative with edits in the future, and be careful not to over-edited. I'm not just here to laugh at your antics, but also to watch you play a video game. Don't forget the ergonomics of the second in pursuit of the first. I've loved all your videos so far (maybe except when you play games alone, I dunno). Please don't overedit. This video was bad because of the over-edited first part added to the From-Kryoz second part. It was worse because both were together, but I have faith in you to not screw up future videos. This wasn't even close to being overedited. There weren't nearly as many zooms as you claimed, it was like less than 10. His earlier vids weren't "balanced" like you described, most of them were the just the Average Joe cuts abd focuses straight from Editing 101. He even explained why he used Kryoz's footage; it wasn't his fault at all and just wanted to show those games. He's just being ambitious and putting in something minor from the realm of higher editing -- which you would realize if you watched Kryoz's content, for instance -- and suddenly it's "screwed up" the video? That's awfully pedantic.
