Since it appears this game was a present from the dev to his girlfriend, hence the "Till: Ida" at the end, I would assume lots of the things in it are inside-jokes that the general public won't fully understand. Like the hunk killer reindeer, for example. I'm an avid roleplayer (tabletop and stuff like that), and quite often, when I talk with people I play with, if someone hears us, they don't understand half of the things we're saying. Between the made-up words related to the universes the games are set in, reminders of specific scenes, jokes, and stuff like that... This game felt the same way to me.

So I thought for most of his time making his videos he had worked on them almost completely alone, my mistake. I think it is safe to say though that without him his videos would obviously not exist, and I would assume he himself went through most of the effort of finding and enlisting the help of those volunteers, which can take a lot of effort sometimes. All that said, it can be easy to forget the people who work behind the scenes as an audience member when I always see the faces of the people on screen and it can seem like they are doing all the work.

*fires Toy gun* "That wasn't flying! That was falling with style."
@soupalex4 жыл бұрын
the "terminal" in "terminal velocity" means "final", not "dangerous" or "lethal": terminal velocity is the velocity attained when an object ceases acceleration, i.e. when the drag force equals the weight (since an object falling "from rest" through a medium such as air will accelerate due to the gravitational attraction of its mass and the greater mass of the earth; the velocity increases but the acceleration gradually decreases as the drag force increases-drag is generally proportional to velocity)
@SineN0mine310 ай бұрын
@@soupalexYou did mention it but for clarity I'd like to reiterate that terminal velocities only apply to objects in free fall. The objects don't necessarily have to be falling through air, but the term does only apply to gravitational acceleration. A bullet fired from a gun would reach a maximum velocity as soon as it leaves the muzzle. If you fired it directly upwards, eventually it will fall back to earth during which time it might reach terminal velocity if it's given enough time in freefall. For most firearms terminal velocity is much less than muzzle velocity.

"Playing Christmas games is the sixth circle of Hell." A fair assessment. That said, *Parasite Eve* is set during Christmas, has enough action and horror to rival a 90's-era Resident Evil, and there's at least one generation of gamers out there who may well have never heard of it because it came out before they were born. And, since it's fallen out of fashion with both Sony and Square (it's no longer offered on the PlayStation Store because they didn't feel like including emulators for earlier hardware), it's representative of several generations of games that are at risk of dying forever. Just putting that out there for next Christmas, Ross.

Ross is actually one of my favourite content creators on KZbin. He really needs millions of views for the amount of work he puts into these videos. Great job, Ross!

Mandalore talks like he's on Ambien and only covers super mainstream titles. I don't see why he's so popular

@@TaRAAASHBAGS ... What are you on? Fuckin mystery of the druids and a bladerunner point and click from the 90s are mainstream?!

@@Stad122 Don't argue with people who complain about things for being "mainstream". It's really not worth it.

I could guess exactly what kind of game you had when you said you had a christmas game you could actually play through. Horror reindeer, goblen gore, creepy art design. Nope, no surprise whatsoever.

This was perfect, the video deserves a Oscar if that amounts for anything.

Probably made on the same software - Adventure Maker was a big deal in the 2000s, I remember Yahtzee's games being up on Gamehippo.com back in the day.

Man I haven't played a random AGS game on a whim in years. This really is nostalgic for me. Do you think you'll plan to have any more AGS games on the game dungeon?
