Put a cap on earnings? There's a company called Mondragon in Spain (Catalan?) that was started several decades ago by a priest. It operates a Socialist system where the CEO is allowed to earn a maximum of 30x what the lowest paid operative earns. It has grown into a large successful company producing a variety of products. We in the USA and UK suffered more after Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher here deregulated the finance industry etc, fast forward to 2008, collapsing banks rescued with public money. Thatcher also got rid of our Monopolies Commission which used to safeguard smaller companies from being swallowed up by corporations.
