So beautiful, so charming. I can almost smell the fresh air. An ideal vacation. I couldn't help thinking of people who need amusement rides, fancy restaurants, guided tours, etc. in order think that's a real vacation. This two days you had look like a wonderful way to de-stress, enjoy simple things. just be with people you love. I'm also happy to see Agatha explore and that you tell her no, no, no. Has anyone written that the coming baby is making you more and more beautiful? In the past, our village houses had that stone wall. It was plastered with straw and white mud. Every summer and winter, when it was moved, it was whitewashed with only white mud. and it was free. Even though it wasn't that big of a balcony, yes it was made of wood. Agatha, enjoy, sweet girl.

I'm 75 years old now and I've been a winemaker since 2006. When I got interested in winemaking I read everything I could get my hands on regarding winemaking, and one thing I found was that seasoned winemakers from all around the world regard elderberry wine as the world's best tasting fruit wine. They agreed that blackberry is next, then blueberry, then cherry (sour cherries), then pear, then apple, then grape. The worldly wine drinkers make a fuss about grape wine when the real gurus know better. I make blueberry wine every year, and pear wine if the pears make (having to do with late frost). I make blackberry wine if I can get the fruit. Elderberries are hard to get where I live (North Alabama) because what the utility company mowers and sprayers don't get the birds get. So I haven't made any elderberry wine since 2016. But it's my favorite wine. I like grape wine, red zinfandel is my favorite, then pinot noir.

Oh my goodness!! That view is giving me such happy feelings!! We went there for our ten year wedding anniversary and I still say how much I want to go back to Georgia!! I could spend weeks in Sighnaghi!! Georgia is such a gem - the BEST food and wine I've ever had. I hope you are enjoying your time there!! If you have time, Mestia is very beautiful as well.

@@jj-if6it I discovered Georgian Cuisine during my year studying abroad in Russia and we decided we had to go. It's literally my favorite place we've ever been - SO affordable and the food and wine are the best I've ever had!! Even compared to Italy, but that's just my opinion. We definitely hope to go back to Georgia and check out Armenia as well in the future.

Well done on the surprise and film site scouting, Tolya! You'd do well in Hollywood. I'm sure you'll get increased views on these two episodes alone from those interested in travel, food and wine, ancient history and farm life. It was fun to see you climb down into the fermentation jug for reference. Clearly that's a popular activity, with the ladder inside for visitor excursions. The cooking lesson and dinner afterwards looked yummy and fun. The white tablecloth and table settings plus the views on the dining veranda made a very inviting atmosphere. I would love to visit that winery, just to experience the historic ambiance, and enjoy a little luxury and the views, food, cooking lesson, tour, animals and walks for a couple days. Agatha seemed to have a very happy visit in her own style. She's grown so much, judging by her feet and height. Country life certainly agrees with her. And it seems she hardly ever coughs anymore since you moved to the country house. Side note: A UK YT dog vlogger friend is also pregnant, with an adorable blonde toddler daughter (total daddy's girl) with a chronic cough, and wonderful husband, who is a fantastic girl dad. They, too, just moved from the city to a more spacious two-story country house with a nice garden. Her daughter's cough is also clearing up somewhat with the clean air and greenery for oxygen. Their handle is Life with Malamutes. Their names are Emma, Shane and Amelia (Mia for short). You might enjoy chatting. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. Those big burnt clay “barrels” Tolya tested are similar to the huge pots the ancient greeks used to store grains.🙂 Charming inn and winery, that building looks like a medieval inn, it must be so nice and cool inside with those thick stone walls.

I never expected that you would be visiting a winery, but this is such an exceptional place that I think anyone could enjoy it even if they do not like to drink wine. Tolya made a great choice--the room is amazing, as is that terrace where you were eating breakfast. I have to admit that at first I was a little worried when I saw him descending into the tank because if it is full of fermenting wine it could be dangerous. So I was relieved that it was empty. I know a little about winemaking because it is quite literally in my blood from Italian ancestors, but I have to recognize that Georgia is an even older wine producing region. So nice to be cooking and eating all together outside with the farm animals. It must have been so much fun for little Agata. The views of the countryside are exquisitely beautiful and I would love to visit such a place. I am tending my own grapes in the garden and just a little sad that they are not growing quite as quickly as these varieties in Georgia. Maybe our spring has been a little too cool this year. Miss you and sending you all much love!
