I’ve been on vacation and had family in town but tomorrow I finally get my house to myself and I’m putting my 3000 piecer out on the kitchen table! It’s been on 4 different foam core display boards that go under the couches when I’m not puzzling…I can’t wait to spread it out!

Sounds great. What's the name of the image?

I need to choose my first large piece count puzzle well because it’s going on my wall-no way I’m taking it apart 😆
@thepuzzlingcanadian6 ай бұрын
I completely understand. After so many hours working on a large piece count puzzle, it is very difficult to take it apart.

I’m working on the Ravensburger jungle one that you referenced for the puzzle Olympics now and I’m struggling. 😂. Yours is so very pretty. Love it!

I recently did the 3000 piece Pi puzzle by Bluebird and it was a lot of fun. It is more or less a gradient so not that difficult. When I do large puzzle, I prefer to take them apart and store them in multiple bags based on the number of repeated cuts to avoid perfect false fits. For example, a Ravensburger 5000 piece puzzle would end up in 4 bags as it is based on 4 repeated cuts. It he case of your puzzle, I would divide it in 12 bags of 250 pieces, one for each image to make it more fun to put together next time around.
@thepuzzlingcanadian6 ай бұрын
That's a great idea. I usually just divided them in two bags - left side and right side. Do you usually redo your large piece puzzles?
@fellowpuzzler6 ай бұрын
@@thepuzzlingcanadian Yes, I usually redo my puzzles a few times before I give them away. Having them in smaller bags gives me the option to mix them up or not depending on how I feel and the puzzle itself. I also believe that it will helpful to the next owner as well.

I realllly like that image....I have not tackled such a large piece count... limited space and soooo many pieces are stopping me.... I am glad you mixed the pieces you did a true 3000 piece... I have done similar images like the Collage and also the stamp one... I enjoy those images also..... Bluebird looks like a good brand... I have not tried one of those... nor have I seen them for sale... Will see what I can find on line.... enjoyed this video.....

Thank you. The image is what enticed me to this brand.They seem to have a variety of images for those large piece counts.

That was a really good image and one that I like but not in 3000 pieces! I doubt that it would be available as a 1000 piece puzzle. You will have to decide what kind of image you wish to do next in 3000 pieces and see what is available. I had a quick look at Puzzles Canada and they seem to have a decent selection in that piece count. I can appreciate why you are not keen on Educa because of the piece shapes they have. Just finished doing a Circle of Colors puzzle called Insects. Look forward to your next video.

Thank you. It would be nice to see a variation of this image in 1000 pieces. I think it would be quite popular with puzzlers if they had it.

Very nice puzzle ❤ I recently got 3000 pieces puzzle by Clementoni, but I guess it will stay on the shelf for some time. I am not sure if I am ready for my first big puzzle😅

Clementoni has some nice images and the image does play a huge part in the experience you have with a large piece count.

Great video! I haven't tried a 3000 piece yet, but hope to do this someday. In the meantime, I look at potential choices for me and thought I could share some with you that I love (I also don't want to do alot of animals, trees etc.). My choices so far that you might consider: from the Puzzles Canada website - Ravensburger, The Curious Collection, Anatolian brand - Mystery Writers Puzzle. And then, from the Jigsaw Jungle website - Masterpieces Signature Collection - On the Boardwalk Art Poulin, and Bluebird - Ready for the Garden. I hope you find what you're looking for!

Those are my kind of images. I have completed the Anatolian Mystery Writers - it was actually my very first 3000 piece puzzle. The Masterpiece one is really nice. It's something I too would consider. Thanks for sharing.

BEautiful puzzle!!!! Of all the large count puzzles you've worked on, which was your favorite brand? Which was your worst? I did a 2000 pc back in 2021 and it took me a month to complete!!!! If I'm investing that much time then I know I want a good quality puzzle as well. Because of that and from what others have encountered, along with myself, I wont do an Educa puzzle. I've done two 500 pc puzzles by them and I was ready to throw them out the window!!

All the large piece count brands I've done have very good quality. My favourite one was the Schimdt Rio de Janeiro. I love the Schmidt brand and that image was nice to assemble. The one that I didn't like was Animal Stamps by Ravensburger. I love Ravensburger puzzles but that image was much harder than I anticipated. That puzzle took me the longest to complete and it was frustrating with so much animal fur.

Educa, Vintage bookshop, 4000 pieces. This one is fun and easy (as easy as a 4k puzzle can be). Took me less time than the Karen Puzzles 3k puzzle. I did not find the fit a distraction at all.

Wow! That is lovely and doesn't look that hard. Thanks for the info. I will look into that one.

How do you choose your puzzles?
@thepuzzlingcanadian6 ай бұрын
When it comes to large piece count puzzles, I prioritize image and quality. I make sure it is an image I really like since I will be working on it for awhile and the piece quality needs to be very good. If I have more than one 3000 piece puzzle in my pile, I usually just select the one I feel like working on at the time.

I would say do Not do Aquarius or Grafika. Castorland is nice, Heye and Jumbo have cute cartoon images but a loose fit, and Enjoy just started doing 3000 pc, but the images aren't very good :( Loved your video!!
@thepuzzlingcanadian6 ай бұрын
Thank you. Aquarius images do look very busy and not something I'm interested in. I do have a 3000 piece Grafika but it is a grid like puzzle similar to this one. Looking foward to trying a Castorland or maybe even a Heye. Thanks for sharing.

I've started doing more larger piece count puzzles. I've done two 3000 pieces - Bluebird The Number Pi and Ravensburger Tigers in Paradise. I agree with the other commentor that Pi was fun and easy. Tigers not so much, I found it hard. I'm currently working on Ravensburger 5000 piece Pokemon All Star, so far so good but it's a lot of pieces. I'm agreeing with you that there aren't as many images that I like in the larger piece count. I recently bought Clementoni Downtown 6000 pieces, beautiful image but I think it terrifies me a little, and I had to order it from the UK. I've decided that 2000 pieces is my favorite piece count. More selection and they still feel like a big puzzle. As for other brands, Enjoy have a few 3000 piece options as do Grafika. I've never built a Grafika yet. I bought a 2000 piece but haven't done it yet. Maybe take a look to see if any of their images speak to you. Congrats on finishing the one in the video and I hope you others that the image speaks to you. ❤🧩❤️

That Pokemon All Star is very colourful. I've never done a 5000 piece puzzle but I'll need to tackle one some day. I have noticed that the Enjoy brand has some 3000 piece puzzles. I'll need to take a closer look at them. Thanks for sharing.
