@sylverxbnha81422 жыл бұрын
@@tommyvercetti891 When people are very scared in dealing with situations where other humans are involved, there is a fourth fear response: "fawn". Fawning is trying to be as agreeable as possible in the hopes that the person you are dealing with will not hurt you. In some cases, people will go to desperate measures while fawning, such as the case in this story, when she agreed to enter the basement. It was a fear response - and fear responses are instinctual, not logical. She was not making a logical decision and therefore her choice absolutely cannot be "dumb". Furthermore, I have a few reasons to assume you are a man (name, profile photo, the word choice of "if I were a... girl"), and as a female in my late teens I say this with my full chest: you cannot judge a young woman for fawning. You have never been one of us. You don't know the fear we grew up with and live with every day of our lives. You have no idea what that's like. So don't you EVER try to 'mansplain' your way into blaming a victim.

@@bdletoast09that’s not 100% true. She initially claimed all her victims either raped or attempted to rape her but later went on to recant this and stated robbery was the motive. When I was in my teens my family went on a camping vacation to Southern California. We were at a camp site that was a couple hundred yards from the beach, there was a small trail that led there. We wake up one morning and are having breakfast when we see a guy walking towards us on the trail. He walks up and asks "Did you hear about the murder?" We hadn't heard anything about any murder so this guy starts telling us about a woman on the beach who was murdered earlier that morning. He then started giving details (stabbed, how many times she was stabbed, her name) that there was no way a casual observer would have known. My entire family was creeped out but didn't react to what he was telling us. He eventually left. About 5 minutes later the police are running up the trail towards us and yelling if we had seen someone exactly like the guy who had stopped. We just pointed in the direction the guy had gone. Ten minutes later we hear a barrage of gunfire and more cops than I had ever seen showed up. They took statements from all of us. My dad didn't want us to freak out and ruin our vacation so he waited to tell us that the guy who told us about the murder was the killer, the cops had told him the whole thing about catching him and having to shoot him. Scary world sometimes.

The first story jarred my memory of coming face to face with Warnous. Twice! My husband and I took our kids to his parents home in Florida for a two week vacation. We packed a lunch and headed out to Blue Nose Springs. As we were walking into the park I noticed two women coming towards us. My husband and his father were walking together, I brought up the rear. The eyes got me! Eileen and her girlfriend walked passed us, as she did I got a good look at her eyes… like a sharks eyes. Empty and dead…as she passed my husband, I looked her straight in the eyes. I turned around as she passed us and she looked back at the same time… she sneered at me… gave me chills! The next day we went to another park and she was there again, just staring at my husband… I told him about her and he said he got a good look at her and said she had shark eyes. A few months later I saw her on the news, they confirmed she was at the same park we were on the same day… still gives me chills to recall that encounter.

@emo76364 ай бұрын
That first story would've been good if the writer had done the least bit of research on Aileen. She was 'active' from 1989-1990, what 'phone' did she supposedly pull out to call her ride when she was in the parking lot? Also, while it's entirely likely she would have killed someone if they got in the way of her escaping, luring folks from their workplace in order to kill them was not part of her M.O. Aileen was a highway pr*stitute, she would hitchhike and pick up her 'Johns' in that manner. She'd then proceed to kill her 'Johns' and take their wallet and such. She had an extremely sh*tty life, kicked out of her house after becoming pregnant via a r*pe committed by her grandfather's friend, she was 14. She was kicked out and sent to a home for 'unwed mothers'. I fully believe her upbringing led to her becoming a terrible person.

I once picked up a goth looking girl, around 20 something, hitchhiking not even a mile from my home, right in the middle of downtown. I ask where she’s going, she says to a small town a couple of hours away. I remember there’s a bus that goes directly there, I ask why she wouldn’t just take the bus, she says she doesn’t have the money to spare (around 20 bucks). I ended up driving her there since I had nothing better to do, but in hindsight that was pretty dumb. Most of the drive there was through mountains with absolutely nobody near and she could have easily overpowered me
