Chimaira are still and always will be one of my favourite bands, along with Metallica,Slayer,Megadeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Municipal Waste,Kreator and Destruction etc. I know it's a long list of great bands, but Chimaira is 1 of the great metal bands.

you know Chimaira dont get the enough love. djent guys talk all day about "Bleed" but most of those bands just sound like pass out of exsitance with a different singer and some shreddy shred ... thats just me though ...... but really i cant really think of a band that was doing the whole NWOAM thing before them ... mabee lamb of god .... but thats like saying who is more important to thrash slayer or metallica and Rob Arnold did kind of bring back the guitar solo, iff you look at the bands that were up in comming around the 1998 to 2002 no one really did them ..... Chimaira's imposibility of reason comes out and from 2003 to 2006 it went from in 2002/2003 no did them and acctully was slightly frown apon , hell even metallica left solos off of st anger, to 2006 2007 when everyone was doing solos hell even slipknot started doing em ......... i guess all of this is up for debate but if we are going to have the whole "who brought back the solo" conversation , i dont think you can leave out Chimaira and rob arnold as a contributing factor.

Rob Arnold USED to be my guitar idol... I asked him one time for advice on playing scales if there was a different way to do that bc I broke my fret hand in jr high playing football and it hurts to play sometimes. His response was. Just checking The kicks are so CONSISTENTLY *painfully bad* that I actually to stop and go relisten to the original just to make sure it wasn't supposed to be this way as some ill-advised "stylistic choice" or something. Like, the kicks were supposed to be awake and active at 1:00am SHARP and this dude got 'em climbing out of bed at 8pm, still groggy Everything else was on point though ....other than my mans on bass still sticking his tongue out like he's gene fuqqin simmons in 1945 or w/e tf when it was still "freaky" to old, vapid white mothers.
