Not surprised that you guys enjoy African food so much. It is similar to Korean food in that its savouriness/umami comes alot from seafood and fermented products. Africans use dried/ smoked seafoods, fermented as well. They even have seasoning that is similar to fermented soy bean; locust beans, castor, sesame and others are fermented. That is what makes you want more of the food!

The list goes on and on : okok, sanga, mbongo tchobi, poulet DG, okra soup (from the North Cameroon), kilichi, soya, poisson braisé, pear (not the classical pear) and roasted plantains, groundnut soup🤤🤤...I’m hungry now😢😢
