Nigerian food is becoming almost mainstream in the US. I go to the Nigerian food truck on 45th and 2nd in NYC once a month. So good. I'm Asian too.

@@Margeryhudsonpeters Yeah, also lots of Asians have Nigerian friends in NYC because they typically go to the ivy league schools, work in banking, tech and finance where there are a lot of Asians too so we are exposed to their food and culture a lot. That's how I got into the food, my friend from Columbia is from Nigeria.

There are different methods of cooking egusi, and the person cooking it also matters plus some person's add or skip some ingredients due to their preference so it okay if it taste a little different from the one you had before

In Yoruba language the pounded yam is called iyan. Iyan is eaten with the egusi. Yoruba in Nigeria are famous for that one.

I always enjoy Nigerian food in that same restaurant called happy home in Itaewon, they cook very well and keep the place clean, once you taste one of their delicious meals, you'll keep going for more.
