※ On this day, when the temperature was still high, the keepers distributed ice. We could see everyone happily eating the ice.

Im so happy for Riki. He has a beautiful chimp his age to mate with. Marimo has blended with the Ryu troup beautifully. Even the twins seem to like her!

Marimo joined the patroling team 😄 There was another interesting scene at 1:09, when Marimo wanted to approach Kazumi mama, and neither of them seemed hostile, but Riki and Ryu (?) surrounded Kazumi immediately as if they wanted to prevent Marimo from coming closer - and she quickly moved back as soon as the two males appeared. Kazumi mama freezed too. My only guess is that previously there might have been an altercation between the two females and this is why the males don't allow them to get closer one to another, even though they don't show any sign of aggression. It seems to me that Marimo still doesn't "speak" perfectly the Ryu family's language, she needs to learn a lot, even the particular grooming rituals. And I can imagine that for her it's hard to adapt to this completely new group dynamics where three males are cooperating and rule with iron fist, while in the Yokohama troop females seem to be more powerful. Charlie papa playing with Yotsu is adorable. I too would love to know what Riki's shoulder-patting means.....Thank you for the great video!

Marimo appears so polite and kind to everyone to me. The twins which is feared the most seem to even like having a new gal pal. Did it appear to anyone else that Yotsuba was passing ice out to several members of troop??

Thank you for watching. Riki hasn't broken his foot at all. I went to see the Ryu family on September 16th, and Riki was as energetic as ever.
