What horrified me at first turned into respect for the male. ❤

At this point I wish the keepers had a separate room to block off for her for a couple of days away from the public and being hovered over. @@iori3325 I have been watching the Shabain Troop for a short while now. I have been watching g a lot of the old videos. I have never seen Shabain climb close or even sit in Nene’s favorite spot. Once seeing Shabain climb up to the higher sitting spot made me aware that Nene must be seriously ill. I hope that she is getting the care from the Veterinary to see what is going on with her. Her family is very concerned about Nene.

Shabani tried so hard to get Nene to go to the basement, the love, caring and affection is there for all to see, they are all so worried for Nene, she's constantly locking her lips, is she dehydrated, she was up in a hammock and didn't pee on anyone, get well Nene ❤ x

It was incredible to see Shabani appealing as much as he could to direct Nene to get food. Seeing how 'charging' is used to convey so many things, meanwhile it just looks like a simple behaviour. I have to say that their living conditions are appalling, if she is really not feeling with no place to go for some solitude and comfortable place to rest then she is probably also depressed, I just hate it that we humans feel that we have the right to capture, confine and put on display any other living beings.

NeNe obviously does not want the others around her. She almost acts afraid of them - I still wonder with the multiple wounds on her arm if there wasn’t a bad fight. She goes as high up as she can and puts her back against the corner as protection. Then she watches everyone like she is afraid they are after her. She was moving around well but still not eating or drinking. Shabani is clearly very worried.

Such huge beautiful creatures, & to have them in a large hut? , Just look at them, they belong in their natural habitat, in the large deep jungles full of wild & beautiful life, climbing enormous ancient trees that seem to extend up to the heavens, not swinging from ropes! Feeling the heavy monsoons on their skin, the scent of morning dew in their nostrils, even to expericing their first kill! Instead WE have them in a make shift hut for OUR amusement, and yet we are amused.....

We also lost Winston the Silverback st San Diego Zoo....he was 52 years old. He had heart issues and severe arthritis 😭. The troop is devastated. His main wife Kamilia is devastated. Hiding near a wall.. sleeping 😢. Losing Nene will be very traumatic 😢

I’ve never seen Nene act like this, even in other times she was sick or injured. This is also the most worried I’ve seen Shabani about her, he must feel like it’s pretty serious. He didn’t do this when she was feeling bad other times. She’s not looking good, she’s super fidgety especially when Ai was trying to sit by her, that’s unusual. I wonder if she’s having significant mental decline along with physical :( her being higher up and walking wobbly on those ropes worries me

I love Shabani ❤ he really is a great leader. Initially I thought Nene was sick or possible displaying specs of dementia (she appeared scared and paranoid for no obvious reason that I could see in the video). However, I notice Kiyo was the only troop member absent from rallying around Nene. Then when Shabani went after Kiyo something clicked. My personal opinion is Kiyo did something to Nene that frightened her. Now she’s afraid to go in the basement with him. If that’s the case I hope Shabani can gather Kiyo up so Nene can feel a bit protected from his spoiled butt.

Shabani attacked Nene pretty good the other day... After she ran after Annie from Annie pranking her. She did get up from under him and continue to run after Annie quite a bit. But it did appear he pinned her down and looked like he bit her shoulder....just looked that way, but slo-mo didn't look that bad... It was a stronger show of discipline I have seen in him in a long time. The video was posted on a different channel.
