The good Professor has been always a strong proponent of the Chinese Communist Party's Incredible Achievements/ Narratives, perhaps he should respond to these apparent strange anomalies of the Chinese Citizens: (1) the multiple tens & tens of thousands of Chinese illegally immigrants, men, women and children (annually 2020-2024) braving also risking their lives ..crossing one the most treacherous jungle treks in the World, from South-America Continent across the entire Yucatan Peninsula and the infamously perilous Darién Gap to enter the U.S.A. (a perilous journey of more than one month) , to arrive at the U.S. southern border illegally to seek Refugee Status. (2) thousands, annually (2020-2024) of Chinese Billionaires and Chinese Millionaires and Chinese wealthy middle-class families migrating to other countries, along with their monies .. to U.S.A. Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Middle-East etc. (3) these days, daily hundreds and hundreds of Chinese Citizens, without interruption, rain or shine, queuing outside the U.S. Consulate Visa Offices in PRChina, to apply for Entry Visa to enter the U.S.A. What is the reason(s) and wrong with these Chinese Nationals unwillingness to remain in PRChina, to share & enjoy the greatest and glorious achievements of the Chinese Communist Party Regime and Rule over the Chinese Citizens ?

With each question, I felt confident that Kishore would deliver the perfect response to set the record straight-and he did. Especially given how all Muslim countries put out an international statement confirm that there is NO genocide taking place in Xinjiang which is a situation about Uyghur separatism. The biggest Muslim population in China are not the Uyghurs, it is actually the Hui. Most westerners only know their own propaganda but do not know the actual truth, and I'm saying this as an Indian person! It is also laughable for the west to call Xinjiang a genocide when the Gaza conflict is very observably a genocide by carpet bombing, murder and starvation by the USA Israel.

It is an impossibility for an anglo Saxon to view China without prejudice. China has shown the world the days of anglo Saxon predominance is over and the centre of gravity of geopolitics, economy and military might has shifted to Asia, or more strictly speaking, the EuroAsia land mass. Despite its name, the Asia Society is not really Asian. It is a bunch of Westerners who happen to be in Asia, viewing it though Western lenses. It really ought to change its name. In the 1800s, when a Brit referred to an Indian, he was not talking about the brown skinned guy speaking Hindi, he was referring to Brits born in India. The term "Indian" was used to differentiate such people from the more esteemed ones who were from the British Isles. The brown skinned guys deserved far less distinction in terminology, and were simply referred to as "Natives". Today the Asia Society is a vestige of this despicable past.

There's still a lack of understanding between the West (including US) and China. Both sides should encourage more people-to-people exchanges at different levels (tourism, academia, government exchanges, student exchanges, cultural exchanges etc) for both to know each other more deeply. How many Europeans and Americans have actually visited China and explored the country and vice versa? Media of all kinds are not as objective as they think and objectivity isn't even a priority for many of them. Its better to pay a visit physically and find out for yourself.

Could it be we are again witnessing a possible repeat PRChina's past History v.2.0. After the disastrous failure of Mao Zedong's "Great Leap Forward (1958-1962)", where some 20 millions to 40 millions Chinese died from starvation, deprivation and treatable diseases etc. After the Great Leap Forward's disastrous failures and its consequences witnessed, Mao adopted a low profile for some 3-years, 1963 to 1965, he faded from most day-to-day issues and permitted Liu Shaoqi and Deng Xiaoping. and others to run the country. During this Mao's power hiatus, 1963-1965, Mao Zedong plotted and devised his plan and strategy to regain his lost power and prominence in the Chinese Communist Party leadership ... launching his "Cultural Revolution" in 1966, along with his "Red Guards" and supported by the PLA Military Force. Those that once opposed him, such as Liu Shaoqi, Deng Xiaoping and many others were all arrested, subsequently many died in prisons, from mistreatment and deprivations. We will have to wait and see whether Xi Jinping would be capable to implement his own "Cultural Revolution v.2.0". in the coming years.
