China disappears tennis star Peng Shuai, for naming and shaming President Xi's ex-Vice Premier

Peng Shuai (her family name is pronounced “pung,” and the end of her given name rhymes with “why”) disappeared from public view after she accused Zhang Gaoli, a close confidant of China’s President Xi Jinping, of forcing himself on her. International pressure forced them to have her make token appearances but that did nothing to allay fears.

I doubt anyone would present a case alleging they don't look like stick people. And while no video has emerged of Sesame Street characters speaking on the topic. Given that they just introduced the first Asian Muppet character Ji-Young. I think it is reasonable to assume the events in China revolving around Peng Shuai and others. Will become adjuncts in the Muppets world theme of fairness and inclusion. So I wouldn't worry about.
