@royalsd2 күн бұрын
How was the experience of riding in China? I visited this summer but wasn’t able to ride there, thinking of riding the next trip though. But also yes about the pollution it’s very apparent in the industrial areas, in cities like Shenzhen or pretty much any other city I visited the pollution was really fine. My first time in Guangzhou a couple of years ago, it was extremely dense in pollution, worst I ever experienced, just a bit worse then Delhi. But now everything is really clear compared to back then which is really nice to see.
@ElectricUnicycles2 күн бұрын
Shenzhen pollution was really bad. Riding was fun once you adjusted to the craziness of all the car, truck, moped, and pedestrian traffic and how they moved :-)
@royalsd2 күн бұрын
@ agreed on the fun riding, it’s like a battle royale. First two days in China you’ll feel sticky but after that it kind of calms down. But a big reason is cuz of the pollution added w the humidity

Y'all should suggest Begode make a snow blower and portable power station that we can transfer our EUC batteries to when the EUCs aren't in use. My Master will be sitting for 5-6 months during the late fall, winter, and early spring due to cold/salt on the ground. If I could remove the packs and throw them in a 2 stage snow blower, or use them as a backup power source during power outages, or as portable power on camping trips, then they'd generate SO much more value. Just ordered an electric 2 stage snow blower for $1k that only comes with 800 Wh of cells. I imagine that's just enough to do my driveway and help out the neighbors when the road plows inevitably bury the end of their driveways. Meanwhile I've got 2.4 kWh sitting in my stowed EUC... enough to do a good chunk of my entire block. Or... how about a small ATV? I'd throw a plow on it!

Hi Marty, can you ask them why they named themselves Gotway or Begode? The religious people may be uncomfortable by this name and may cause them to turn to other brands. Currently, in my country, some people view the unicycle as an evil invention.
@ElectricUnicycles2 күн бұрын
Gotway is a common name in China apparently. They had to change to Begode because of copyright issues in other countries. Begode is a made up word.

You're in the industrial part of China, so of course you will see more pollution and stuff. Many people don't live there for that very reason. But if you go to more of where people actually do live, it's much nicer. Look at license plate, if it's blue, it means it's a gas car. If it's green, it means it's a hybrid or an electric car. In the city, you will see many green license plates. In the industrial parts of China, you will see more blue. The Chinese government controls the amount of pollution that reaches residential areas. Having electric cars in the city reduces the amount of pollution in these residential areas. Beijing for instance is so much cleaner today than it was, say 15 years ago. Visiting these industrial places in China is like visiting the industrial parts of the US, it's not very pleasant. It's not a good representation of the whole country.
@ElectricUnicycles2 күн бұрын
I saw LOT's of green license plates here, so I guess it would be truly horrible without them. I'll take your word that most of China has no pollution. But I must say that China is increasing, every year, the number of coal power plants so I will remain skeptical that what I witnessed is not representative of the majority of China. Saying that China has a lot of pollution does not mean that I hate China, BTW 🙂
@juki0h3912 күн бұрын
@@ElectricUnicycles Of course not, I wasn't accusing you of hating China or anything, I just wanted to say this because lots of people don't know China that well. If you look at 20-40 year old videos of China, the pollution was very bad. China was not a pleasant place back then. Pollution, petting crime, corruption, it was all very bad. They have improved so much in the past decades, and they are continuing to improve. It's true that they are building more coal plants, but the newer generation of coal plants are more advanced then the older ones. They can produce more electricity with less coal and they filter out the pollutants much better. Better technology allows these coal plants to produce less emissions. I love watching your videos, BTW.
@ElectricUnicycles2 күн бұрын
@@juki0h391 Thank you. I can imagine that it's much better and they are continuing to improve. Great for the people. Hopefully all the cities will eventually be clear. For now, the Shenzhen region reminds me of Southern California in the 70's (45+ years ago). And there are a lot of electric cars. Now they need to work on the mopeds because I think there are more mopeds then cars, at least where I was.

People seem to just park wherever they want to and drive on both sides of the street. Looks like a lot of fun anyway.
